Large Stackable Kids' Wood Bin - Pillowfort™

These are horrible if you are expecting the original wood bins they had, this is so much smaller and made poorly compared to the other ones!

Was looking for more of the original boxes they only had these horrible too small and the color is bad please bring back the original

I hope Target brings back the original design. These are terrible - too small, weak back, and unneeded color. The original was perfect! This is a cheaper, much smaller (not going to fill cubby shelves or for large books), and the color doesn’t work for everyone.

I bought 2 large Pillowfort wood boxes in December 2023 and loved them-- they're super sturdy and they've lasted a while. I use the boxes mainly to hold books and papers and while moving apartments. I bought these new Pillowfort wood boxes in August 2024 and they're not the same quality at all-- the wood is thinner than the 2023 boxes and one box was cracked in 2 places before it even got to my home. I think my boxes will be ok filled with books and staying in one place but I can't imagine this box would hold up long around kids.

I agree with some of the other reviewers that the previous box was perfect. This new “updated” one has a bottom that is not wood- it looks like particle board-the kind that they use for clipboards. Also seems less sturdy. The handles are huge and the interior is painted a dull blue and I have no idea why. It didn’t need to be painted. The box is smaller and overall the value is less but the price stayed the same. For this cheaper quality version, the price should be less. The previous box was perfect and I don’t know why they would change it to this. Very disappointed.

This new model of the pillowfort crate that replaced the previous model is not an equal replacement or upgrade at all. This crate is 3 inches smaller which makes a big difference, the wood feels like a cheaper material and now it is painted in the inside with a dull blue-green paint so it is not neutral for both boys and girls and all bedroom colors like the natural wood color from before. The holes for your hands are also unnecessarily large. They really didn’t need to make any of these changes because they were perfect before. If you have the previous wooden milk crates and you’re thinking these will match or stack together, you will be disappointed because they won’t work. Please bring back the previous crates, they were perfect before.

I have about 8 of the older version but we moved and need more for storage so ordered these thinking they were the same but just had a little color added to it. I was heartbroken when I it arrived and it is smaller in size and way less sturdy feels like I could break it with my own hands by just applying light pressure compared to the old version which I moved books, dog toys, my extra bathroom stuff (ie shampoo, soap etc)

Arrived broken, won’t let me return to store I have to mail them myself. Too small for ikea shelf

This is a nice large children’s wooden bin that can hold their toys, books, or whatever you choose to put on it. It is sturdy and is stackable. I love that the wood is plain so that you are able to paint it any color that you choose to match your child’s room decor or you can have your child decorate it the way they choose. It has to handle openings for easy carrying from room to room. A great asset to any child’s bedroom.

It seems to be quality made and looks like it will last. You can store quite a bit in this wooden crate. I can't speak to the stackability of it since I've only got the one, but I'm not sure if want to since it's so heavy.

This bin is a good sized, high quality bin made of sturdy wood. This has a good weight to it and is easy to tote around with the handles. This works well for toys, gloves, and shoes and slides right into an 11" opening in a storage organizer. I love the look of this and the idea that it is stackable.

this is the worst thing you could have done to this product in my opinion. the old style of bin that was solid wood with no gross cheap paint job on the inside was perfect. i am so heart broken that you’ve discontinued it for this instead. i almost want to buy it & sand the stupid blue paint off, but im just going to try to find other similar bins somewhere else & avoid all that work. really seriously disappointed & hope bright room comes back with the original & pillow fort can have its yucky blue version.

This sturdy box is so handy to store random things…toys, shoes, crafts…I really like the felt gripper on the bottom to keep from skidding and scratching. The stacking feature is also handy, I definitely could see this being perfect for storing craft materials.

Love the size and durability of this box. Just what I needed in my son's room. Love that they are stackable so I'll be getting more. It feels like great quality and I like the green inside but I especially am drawn to the natural wood color of the outside. Could be painted, draw a design on it or left as is. Stores quite a bit and much needed for the loose items he had in his room. Love it. Thanks!

What can I say, this bin does what it’s meant to do and it serves its purpose. Sturdy piece, easy to carry, and the inner color is quite neat. At the moment we have it holding a few stuffed toys, but it can be used to store practically anything!

I'll need to buy a few more of those wood bins from the Pillowfort brand, since apparently my cat made the first one I got into its nest. This bin is indeed quite large, as advertised, and I couldn't really test the stackable part yet, but I'll get to it as soon as I get more. This is ideal for kids stuff, from stuffed animals to books, and I'm sure there's plenty more ideas to fill those bins with. The wood is relatively thin and that makes the bin quite light, however it is pretty strong and help pretty well through my rigorous home testing.

Love this sturdy storage box. The outside has a natural wood finish while the inside is painted a bluish gray. My son wanted this box but I already had plans to use it for miscellaneous gym equipment. Looks like I’m going to have to get another one.

I originally was gonna use this to store part of my six year olds hot wheel collection because it was only one. It held over 120 of them with no problem. I love how sturdy it is. It looks nice. & The quality is amazing. It also fit perfectly into his cube storage. Now, im gonna purchase five more of these for his cube storage organizer. They look way nicer than the other ones I’ve paid more than $20.00 for. We’ve decided to buy more and use them for his shoe storage to make his organizer look more put together. I love these bins.

This box matches perfectly with several other storage items that I have purchased at Target. I love that the inside is painted green to give a pop of color. It is much more lightweight than I expected so I’m not sure how much weight it can actually hold however it is perfect for toy storage which is what I’ll be using it for!
