Description

Double vinyl LP pressing. 2010 release, the third album proper from James Murphy's LCD Soundsystem, follows 2007's warmly received 'Sounds of Silver'. Musically inspired by late 1970's David Bowie, This Is Happening also has artwork that directly references Bowie's classic 1979 album Lodger. The record retains Murphy's idiosyncratic sense of humour and includes the single 'Drunk Girls'.

like others said, this skips. Mine was due to it arriving warped so that the outer tracks on each disc skip despite a very nice turntable setup

One could say I put my little feet down and hung out with this one

Sounds awesome on my very subpar turntable (ATLP60) Had some skipping at the start of One Touch but after a good clean it went away, so definitely would recommend. Go and dance yrself clean

Damaged/skips

Hoped the review about skipping was a one-off, but my copy also had visible areas of damage and skipping.

Fine recording, skipping NOT an issue

Previous "review" said both albums "skipped". That's a function of their all in one Crosley (or similar) player not being able to track properly. Our system, by no means high end, had zero issues with this album.

sad

i bought this for my boyfriend as a gift and when he played it he said it kept skipping. so i took it back and returned it, bought a new one, gave it to him, he played it again, and it kept skipping again. not sure what the deal was but, was very disapointed and sad for him.
