Learning Resources Create-a-Space Storage Bundle, Ages 3+

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bundle came with the Create-a-Space Storage Center and a set of magnetic storage pockets. I love this bundle. I use the pockets to store magnetic play sets on our large magnetic board for my class of two year olds. Because the pockets have see through windows, I can easily see what is in each pocket (as well as the kids) and grab the sets I want to put out for the class that day. It's so nice to have play sets ready made to set out for the kids. I also love the storage center. I use it to store writing center and craft supplies. Because the containers are removable, I can set out the entire center or just pull out the containers I need for a certain craft project or activity. It's nice to have a place to store all our craft supplies, have things easily seen and easily accessible. The containers are big enough to hold just the right amount of whatever is being used...crayons, markers, pencils, scissors, glue sticks, craft sticks. The center is durable and easy to clean either by wiping it down or if needed (like after paint days!) all of the pieces can be put into water and washed. It's also nice to teach the kids that each tool has it's own place in the caddy, and have them be responsible for helping clean up.

It's great that this is available as a full set and also as separate parts depending on space and needs. The kids loved helping to pick up the playroom after using markets/crayons and we were able to do sorting games, discuss 'how' things should be organized (Did they want to sort by item/marker/crayon? Did they want to sort by color? Size?). These were all self-led conversations and trial/error and while this is probably because it's still new, they can try a different way the next time. The magnetic pockets with the velcro are helpful to put items out of reach (glue sticks, scissors) while still keeping it visible to find easily. The size of the lazy-susan was nice b/c it fit easily on the table for craft times and colors spruce up a room without being overly childish or overly aggressive for the parental-eye...!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are four main colors to the organization system that can be used for kids to sort objects. The magnets on the storage bins and storage pockets are amazingly strong - enough so that they don't slide around easily on a magnetic surface. The circular tray with 8 containers is okay. I love that the different containers can be pulled off the tray, so you can just grab one that you need to use if you don't need everything on the tray. I wish they stuck to the tray somehow - maybe a small magnet on the bottom of each container matching the top of the tray. I think the point is to be able to move them around though. Purchasing tip: This is a great gift for teachers as well as families looking to organize their play space. I received this product in exchange for an honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bundle was great. I use the tray to hold all my small things at home. I use the magnetic holders at school for my whiteboard eraser and markers. I don't know what to use the magnetic envelopes for. Still trying to figure that one out. :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bundle is a great organizer! Love the table top organizer... my kids are able to take whichever bins they need and put it back with ease. Just wished the base was a bit heavier but not a big issue. The magnetic bins are super durable and the magnets are very strong. Thinking about getting a big dry erase board to put the storage pockets and magnetic bins so that the kids can practice writing their letters.

I selected this product to review as I am an art teacher who is always looking for the best ways to organize art materials in my classroom. When the package arrived I thought that the design was attractive. The font was clear, the images bright, and the box sturdy. When I opened the box, the product inside looked like the images on the box. There were no instructions in the box as there was no assembly required for this product. The materials are made out of a durable plastic and fabrics. The magnetic strips on the bins and pouches is very durable. The colorful plastic bins have handles on them and all bins fit easily in the circular white tray. The white tray is sturdy and has a lip on it to hold the colorful bins in place. The tray makes it easy walk around the classroom and hand out the bins to each group of students in one pass. You can organize the bins by table or group color. I do notice that there are only 4 different colors to the bins. I would suggest making it a 6 color option. I find that classrooms are often divided up into 6 groups and it is difficult to find organizational sets like this in a 6 color option. I usually have to create my own. One other suggestion I have is that instead of using white it might be better to use black as it will show less wear over time. The bins I use in my classroom often get coated in crayon, marker, and pencil after a few weeks. So having the solid colors to the bins is helpful in hiding this. Making the interior of the bins black and the tray and center bin black would help even more with this problem. I would suggest these bins for a teacher looking for organizational help in their classroom.

This bundle is great. I was very lucky to receive it as a sample for my classroom. I have my entire group time easel and dry erase board organized with it. The magnetic bins are very sturdy and looks very colorful and nice. I can easily organize markers and dry erase supplies so they are at my fingertips during lessons. The magnetic pouches are great for holding fidgets for special needs students and organizing my job chart. I love the table top organizer. The colors are very nice looking and easily organize my group table supplies. I can keep everything out on top of my art center now and it looks very clean and neat. The number of baskets can serve four group tables easily. I like how easy the whole system is to use and it seems very durable. I can see myself using it to keep supplies in order for years to come.

We love this Create a Space bundle! The circular tray helps organize crayons, pencils, markers, scissors, pens, etc. And the nice thing is that each piece can come out - so we can just pull out the pencils or crayons instead of having everything out at once. I do wish there were 8 different colors instead of doubles of 4 so that I can ask my grandson to pick up the purple container or just the yellow one. I also wish it spun around because he's still little and it's hard for him to move the tray. The 4 storage bins are perfect for our craft cart. The magnet is really strong - we put a lot of things in it just to make sure and it didn't fall down! I also like the labels that come with it so that you can label it with whatever you want! The 4 pockets are good for storing things as well on our craft cart. The magnet isn't as strong as the storage bins, but it still holds a lot. And I like that it's see-through so that you can see what's in your pocket rather than checking it each time. I wish it also labels. Overall, the create a space bundle really adds so much organization to our craft area. It's nice that the different sets are color-coded. I can't stress enough how important organization is as a stay-at-home mom to a little one. The Create-a-Space bundle is a life saver and so sturdy to endure endless wear and tear from little hands! Now we have a place for his crayons, markers, pencils, glue, glue stick, ruler, and scissors. I love how you can take out each bin for the storage center because sometimes you just need crayons or some glue and scissors! I only wish the storage center twirled around like a lazy susan, but it's really perfect for all craft and coloring supplies. I want one for myself! The storage bins are really sturdy as well. I love how the magnet is really strong. I tested it out and put a bunch of markers and scissors - I mean, I packed it in one bin, and it held up really well on the fridge. And finally, the storage pockets are perfect for his magnet board. Each envelope can hold a lot of letters (a full alphabet set) as well as other magnets he plays with. It's so much easier than trying to push them off to the side of his board. This also sticks well to his storage cart with other toys on them. I received this product for an honest review.

I received this product as part of an incentivized review program. This product is a great way to organize classroom materials. I love that the 4 bins and 4 bags have strong magnets on them. They can easily stick to a white board and hold the materials you put in them. The round storage center is great for centers in the classroom. It can old all the materials students need in one organized space. The containers come off the tray so students can move them to where they are working. The only downside is I wish the round center was set up like a lazy susan so students could turn it to reach things on the other side. I could see this set also being useful at home.
