Plastic is flimsy and breaks/cracks easily. Also, the pencil lead tends to get stuck by the sharpener so I constantly have to unjam it, which would be harder for a kid to do. Overall, I would not recommend it nor buy again. You get what you paid for.

I don't know why this sharpener has such good reviews, I've bought it for the last 3 years because its usually the only one available and cheap, but the quality shows for the price. It always comes apart and makes a mess.

When Open the box the sharpener had scratches on it. The price is a deal but I don't want a used looking scratched sharpener for her to start the school off plus I paid for new regardless of the price. I do not recommend or at least check your box before leaving the store.

Works as intended. Love all these school/office products that the Target brand has now. The sharpener works great and comes in a variety of colors. I like that they come in a little box. Kids can work these just fine, and these have the container attached to catch the pencil shavings. Recommend And can’t beat the price we got them at!

Top doesn't stay on at all??? It's not broken, though it did come all scratched up in spite of being in a box. There's no mechanism whatsoever to hold the top on, it just sits there until you touch it, then it falls off. Not worth the trouble to return, I'll probably just tape the lid on and throw it away when it gets full. Do better, target.
