  • A: I just received this sharpener and it does sharpen crayons quite well. Not sure about the wax building up on the blade over time but so far it works fine for crayons.

    It's cheap so it's cheap.

    This sharpener is comically bad quality. The lid barely hangs on, so hopefully your child is industrious enough to know that they have to hold the lid steady while they attempt to sharpen their pencil. The sharpening blade, itself, is really terrible. It cuts half of the graphite off the tip as a little insulting dig at your frugality. Just buy a sharpener that costs a couple bucks; this one isn’t worth two pennies.

    Comes in handy

    I purchased one for each of my girls for school this year. We tested the sharpeners out prior to school starting, and they work fabulously! Nice, sharp points on our new pencils now. Easy to take apart, empty, and put back together. No issues with broken lead getting stuck inside yet. That happens with almost every cheap pencil sharpener we get! Hoping we can get at least the school year's length of use out of these.
