Wouldn't work. Don't buy!
Took me 15 minutes to insert the (brand new) batteries. Then it didn't work. Tried the batteries the opposite of the polarities listed and still doesn't work. I spent an hour on this garbage and it will only manually sharpen pencils, and not even well. Don't waste your money.

It doesnt sharpener well and if you put too much pressure it stops turning. The shavings cover is hard to remove and reinstall. The manual pencil sharpener is easier to use than this.

Garbage
If you want your pencils eaten entirely, this is the sharpener for you. Especially if you want the part that gets eaten to be awkward and uncomfortable to be able to get a good point on it. Mine also fell apart the moment I tried sharpening a Farber-Castell ergonomic pencil. It cracked the bottom, pulled the sharpener off its axis, and just… wouldn’t start. It’s a great paperweight now. It isn’t good for much else, nor was it when it was in one piece.

Waste of money!
To install the batteries and close the cover is so frustrating and nearly impossible. I had to force it to shut and it left a big gap and when it started to sharpen the pencil, it did a terrible job. More like hacked at the pencil. Cheap. Returning.
