WARNING - read the reviews!
I bought this thinking oh this is simple and easy, I don’t use my pencils much but I never have sharpened ones when I do. 1) battery instructions were very confusing. 2) it didn’t work! 3) I must have gotten a piece of lead, or something stuck because it got super hot and started smoking after I had tried a few times and then literally melted the plastic above what I assume would be the motor. I made the return and got my money back, but be warned, you get what you pay for with this I guess…

Worst pencil sharpener ever
Worst pencil sharpener ever. It doesn't sharpen them, it ruins them. The battery installation was unclear, which should tell you something. That should be the easy part, just putting the batteries in. The motor turns so fast it just chops up pencils. The shaving compartment is badly designed, small, and hard to put back. Waste of plastic.

DOESN'T WORK
sharpener doesn't work at all! I put brand new batteries in (which by the way battery lid is very hard to put back on) i triple checked that they were in the right direction and it still didnt work. I checked that the sharpener lid was on all the way but still nothing. Don't waste your money!

Looks good but ate up my pencils
This sharpener ate up my pencils. Lead always broken. Was difficult to control. Seems to eat up batteries super fast and batteries are a pain to put in. The battery lid doesn’t snap in easily. Also difficult to empty. Shavings flew everywhere when I tried to open it. I don’t like it at all. I’m disappointed. I gave 3 stars for quality because it seems sturdy and looks like good materials. But the design isn’t working for me technically.
