My almost 4 year old loves it! He can use his imagination since there's no one way to assemble and also use reasoning to figure out how put the parts together. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome toy building set. Bought for a 3 year old and he makes various vehicles by himself. He loves wheels and vehicles so this was perfect for him. The models stay together while playing with a finished vehicle.

I put the Rover together at home first and the directions were easy to follow. However, in the classroom with 4 year old it was difficult to follow. The children love the wheels and gears combo. When left to put there own vehicles together, they loved the gears moving.
Tough to get the Attaching Pieces but fun with adult help!

Really cool idea, may be a little further for 3-4 year olds. A good amount of help was needed to get the connecting pieces together since to a 3 year old, the blue and gray connectors all look the same other than color (i.e. shape, number of 'plugs' etc. was not considered). This led to some frustration, but with a some adult assistance, we had a working project.
Fun toy, great colors, can certainly grow with the child as they gain more skills and independence.

I got this free through an incentive program. This product was great for my lower level students that need fine motor skill development.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is a little under the age range for this toy, and I think he would have enjoyed it more had he been a bit older when he played with it. But, nonetheless, he did enjoy playing with the rover. The colors of the toy are nice and bright. There are three different ways to assemble the toy and I selected the easiest one. It was fairly simple, but some pictures in the instructions weren't the clearest. Once it was assembled it was easy for him to take apart and put back together. One compliant is that the way I assembled the toy it was uneven with the color pattern on one side, which made it seem like it was missing a gear when it wasn't. This did not bother my son any :). I think he will really enjoy playing with it when he is a bit older.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this product as part of an incentivised review program. I got it for my 4 year old nephew who absolutely loved the cycle gears kit. He has been taking the rover gears "car" that he build all around the house with him. I love that he is learning about how things work without even knowing it. He loves to change out the parts and redesign his "car". This is a great gift to work on motor skills and to disguise learning as fun! Another cool part about the Gears products is that all of the different kits can be combined so that kids can take thier building imagination even further!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4 year old son loves this toy! As a parent, I love that he is able to take it apart and put it back together into different items. I love that he needs to think about where the gears are and how they are locking together to make sure they will all move when he is finished.
