Grossest pumpkin pie from a can I’ve ever tasted. I scraped it out of the pie shell and just ate the pie shell.

Pay attention to the recipe!
This makes a decent pumpkin pie. Not quite as flavorful as I’m used to but I’ll have to try a few things to get it perfect. The mix is a little too much, but not enough for a second pie. I feel like all the people saying their pie didn’t set up, didn’t pay enough attention to the recipe. The average can of evaporated milk is 12 fl oz. This recipe calls for 2/3 of a 5 oz can. I think people are mixing in 2/3 of a 12 oz can, which would make is very soupy.

Bad Instructions
The center of the pie never gets done, even after 30 extra minutes!
1 reply from Sabrina team - 3 months ago
Thank you for reaching out to us and letting us know of your feedback. To tell when the pie is done, insert a knife near the center of the pie. The knife should come out clean. At the minimum bake time, perform our pumpkin pie done test: Insert a knife about 1 to 1½ inches away from the center of the pie. It's done when the knife comes out clean. As the pie cools on the wire rack, it will continue to bake the center. This is why we do not recommend conducting this test at the center of the pie. We've let our team know.

Why ??
For pie. Why is there added sugar in the form of DEXTROSE, in the product? What is the bioengineered source? Why not natural, whatever the bioengineered source is?

Soupy and gritty
Soupy, gritty (like sand), and does not set!!!! Even with extra time added. Didn't like the flavor either. Just a flat, sweet, mushy pie that tastes more reminiscent of gross pumpkin pudding in a pie shell. Did I mention the grit in the pie is like chewing on sand??? REALLY UNPLEASANT AND BIZARRE. I prefer Aldi's brand over this A LOT MORE. Never again!!!

Great pumpkin pie
This was my first pumpkin pie I had made in a very long time. A family member requested it and I decided to try the mix. I'm so glad I did! This will definitely be a holiday staple from now on.

My "go to"! Works EVERY time!
This is sooooooooo easy to make! A pie shell, a small can of evaporated milk and two eggs and you are 45 minutes away from holiday heaven! Delicious and infallible. Beats every store bought pumpkin pie.

First timer fun!
This was my first time making a pie. Technically my son wanted it so we are learning together. The reason for the 5 star is that we didn't need to fuss with anything. Also, we had purchased two frozen pie shells from Marie's and it filled both of the shells! Even better! Thank you Libby's for not having "shrinkflation" because we were able to make two deep dish pies! We're excited to try the 100% cans to make cookies too.

The best!
Used this for years and is the easiest way to make a "homemade " pie. What I do now is use cupcke trays and the sheet pie dough to make " mini" individual pies. We love them!

One star is being generous.
I am used to making my own from scratch but throughout the year, I don't have the option for fresh pumpkins. My husband bought this on accident when I asked him to grab the puréed pumpkin and I thought I would give it a go. He bought FOUR cans and yes. I tried alllllp of them thinking that the first few cans I somehow messed up or didn't cool long enough. Etc. no. I didn't. These are so gross and never set. I don't know who put these instructions together, but they're completely disastrous. Not to mention the fact it just tastes terrible. For a household name for pumpkin for those who don't roast their own, this is embarrassing.

The Very Best Pumpkin Pie
I've been eating pumpkin pie made with this mix for 40+ years. I've had other pumpkin pies in that time as well and this makes the easiest, most consistent, smoothest most delicious pumpkin pie I've ever had. When we serve it to company they always comment on the smoothness, taste and often people that say they don't like pumpkin pie, LOVE this! It's the best!

Good for most
This is a quality product, however, for me, I choose to use plain pumpkin and add my own spices as I have some allergies. I find the nutmeg a little heavy in this product.
