A rustic item fashioned directly from the Acacia tree. This hardwood has a dark, reddish-brown heartwood with a lighter sapwood, creating a geometry of color that will naturally draw the eye. Acacia is almost always warm in color, which means that it’ll warm up any room you choose it for. When you want a natural motif that evokes the charms of the outdoors, acacia products are your best bet. This piece looks lovely in rooms with other wood accents, because it can hold its own without being overwhelming.

A: Thank you for your inquiry. This is a unique product in that each bark server is cut directly from an acacia tree before being finished. Since there are trees of many sizes and the diameter cannot be reduced while maintaining the natural bark edge, we sort our servers into size categories. When you order a small, it will be a slice of tree between 8.5" and 9" in diameter, a medium will be between 10" and 12" and the large one will be between 13" and 15". Q: Could this be used as a trivet? Or would the heat crack the wood?

A: This server does not have circulation air holes to allow heat to escape so it is not recommended to be used as a trivet.

Bamboo coaster set review
Coasters are more for looks than function. They are 4.5" across and look like pine. The ones I got don't have rounded edges and look rushed. They have 3 shallow rings on top. But I do like the bamboo material.

Poor quality item
I ordered three and they were either cracked or the outer bark was broken off. My son originally ordered 30 as part of table decorations for a party and only 19 of the 30 were usable (not broken in two, but still not very nice). He reordered more to try to get to 30 without much success. I would not recommend this product at all. I only ordered the three as they had been unavailable and was trying to get the complete set of 30 we wanted.

cracked halfway through----on two different orders!
Ordered this as a gift and it arrived with a crack halfway through it! I returned it to the store and ordered another online (along with the matching coasters this time) and this one also arrived with a huge crack through it (and the coasters were not even in the box----some other tray was!!). If you're lucky enough to get an intact tray, it's very nice and looks great.
