Luca-S Cardinal B1156L Counted Cross-Stitch Kit

Stitch Cardinal, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a bright red cardinal perches on a slender branch hung with little red berries, its crest raised and its black mask and orange beak picked out in fine detail. The bird sits alone on crisp white evenweave, so the colour really stands out. A little stitcher's folklore: there is a well-loved saying that when a cardinal appears, a loved one is nearby. Many stitchers make this little bird as a gift of remembrance or simply to bring good cheer to a winter day. Why this kit: a small, elegant piece that is quick to finish and perfect for a mini frame, a card or a Christmas ornament. Working on 20-count evenweave gives it a fine, delicate look. Kit includes: 20-count white Zweigart Belana evenweave, Anchor 100% cotton threads in 16 colours, a needle, a symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included. Stitch the red body in blocks of colour first, then add the darker wing and tail shading, the face mask and beak, and finish with the branch and berries using the symbol chart. Finished size: 10×9 cm (3.9×3.5 in). A little bird for a mini frame or a tree ornament, and a thoughtful gift for bird lovers.
