Description

Book Synopsis

A decade of Madhappy, told through the images, individuals, and ideas that have shaped its vision.

Founded in Los Angeles in 2017, Madhappy began with a belief: optimism doesn't mean ignoring life's difficulties, but choosing to reach toward something better despite them. Over the decade that followed, that idea became the foundation for a world built through clothing, imagery, community, collaboration, physical spaces, and an ongoing commitment to mental health awareness.

The book documents the defining moments of the brand, including collaborations with Marni, Gap, Hello Kitty, FREECITY, and campaigns featuring Gigi Hadid, 070 Shake, Lila Moss, and others. It also explores Madhappy's growing physical presence, from its flagship stores in Los Angeles, New York, and Tokyo to Pantry, the café concept housed in each location and developed with an evolving group of local and international partners.

This book gathers the best of Madhappy's carefully curated universe. Divided into four chapters that highlight the pillars of the brand: optimism, collaboration, experience, and community. An introduction by Sarah Andelman, an early adopter of the brand, and an interview with architecture and design firm PlayLab, Inc., shed light on the significance of Madhappy and its mission.
