Over the next seven months, man and horse traveled through eleven states, trekking across America's deserts, mountains, prairies, and small towns. About the Author

Since completing the ride, JOHN EGENES has been a professional saddlemaker, musician, carpenter, and university lecturer, and has a PhD in music composition and studio production. He now lives in New Zealand, writing and recording music. His memoir Man & Horse, originally self-published in 2017, found a devoted readership and made an unlikely cameo in the film Barbie.
