    Blades no longer spin and it makes a noise.

    Have owned the fan for 2 years and have loved it. Now when you turn the fan on it makes a grinding static noise and the blades try to spin and then stop. I have been able to get the blades to spin if I manually spin them. The noise eventually stops when it is up to speed.

    I don't know what some of these other reviewers expected for $500 but this chandelier is beautiful. And excellent for what it is. The crystal ARE glass, not plastic. They are just not CUT glass. The edges are smoothed. The crystals all come with everything you need to hang them. The color is brown and distressed gold. Anyone can see any silver color is from light reflecting of the unit when the picture was taken. Especially since the other pictures of the same larger model do not show the silver. Again beautiful light and looks gorgeous in our dining room.

    Crystal?

    I think the word crystal should denote glass not plastic. The "crystals" felt and looked cheap plus they came with no hooks to insert in holes on the arms. I actually had a box of real crystals as extras from another chandelier and used those. Much improvement but not worth the price considering. Description should read plastic prism and beads made to look like crystal.

    Beautiful in pictures BUT very cheap looking in person

    We so wanted to love this light. The pictures showed an elegant light with gold and silver faux finish. When we received it, we noted the faux finish was gold and there was no silver finishes. The crystals looked cheap especially against other chandilers we had purchased from a high end store. We returned it. It was a hefty cost (a fourth of the cost of the light) to ship it back as this is not a free return shipping item.
