The width is just 6” which makes it difficult to find anything that really makes sense to display. The brackets are easy to attach and assemble, but at only a foot long, make it difficult to hang and not be out of arms reach and eye site. This might be a fun shelf for a few books, but with no way to make it free standing or attach to a wall, it would be too high to be convenient. While I love the idea of adding a small workspace or shelf to any area, this product would need to be larger and hang down 2-3 feet.
