Book Synopsis

When an overworked dad falls into a deep, midday slumber, his son sets out on a heroic quest to complete his remaining chores and wake him up. This whimsical father-son twist on Sleeping Beauty celebrates the quiet heroism of every tired parent and the boundless love of their kids.

Once upon a time, young Haohao planned to spend the day playing with his Baba. But Baba has been up before the sun, tending to an endless list of chores. By lunchtime, he's fallen into an eternal sleep on the couch.

Haohao embarks on an epic adventure: shining the chariot, vanquishing dust bunnies, and conquering the rest of Baba's to-do list. Can Haohao break the spell and wake Baba up?

This laugh-out-loud twist on the classic fairy tale with a sweet happily-ever-after is an ode to exhausted parents and helpful kids everywhere.
