Q: What makes this product water repellent is it the fabric itself or added chemicals?

  • A: Hello Mama - Thank you for your interest on - Neoprene Mini Backpack. The water repellent comes from adding chemical treatment to the fabric, rather than the fabric material alone. DWR is a chemical surface treatment that lowers surface tension, causing water to bead and roll off rather than soaking in. Hope this information helps. Happy shopping! - Rose

This mini backpack has been exactly what I have been looking for and I was excited to scoop it up on sale for $7.50. My keys or other small items can fit in the smaller zipped outter pocket and my cell phone and other things can fit in the backpack itself. The mini backpack seems to be well made with thick and sturdy zippers. I love the black but, at this price, wish I also ordered the gray or blue.
