Very firm but didn't relieve back pain
The wedge pillow is VERY firm, although it's comfortable enough. Despite this, it didn't help with lower back pain while sleeping. It's good for sitting up against, but that isn't the main reason why I bought it. The bolster, on the other hand, is more medium-soft. Both pillows took a few hours to fully expand after being tightly packed for shipping.

love this pillow
I had purchased a wedge pillow months ago, but it ended up being way too tall for me to be comfortable. So I decided to try this adjustable. It’s Perfect! And it really does have a cooling cover (I was skeptical about that). So, yes, it works well! It is a single piece pillow not two or three pieces. You can flip and flop it into different shapes but it is two attached wedges that cannot be separated. There is a long bolster piece as a "bonus" and it helps round out the angle between bed and wedge when I'm sitting up. The foam is comfy and it doesn't have a horrible smell like some do. The price was good on this, When I came home from the hospital I slept like a baby with this pillow.
