About the Author

Alec Scott is the author of four books, including the novel Until It Shimmers. As a journalist, he has contributed to outlets including the San Francisco Chronicle, the Guardian, Los Angeles Times, Sunset, Wine Enthusiast, and Smithsonian magazine. He writes on travel, food and drink, business, tech, the arts, and the law-the last because he is a former lawyer. He taught writing at Stanford and has won awards from organizations including the North American Travel Journalists' Association, the Society for American Travel Writers, and Visit California.
