Great camera
The OM-3 is such a wonderful camera. Pictures are amazing and the handling of the camera feels so much like my OG OM-1. I transitioned from an EM-5, the original, so already had lenses that work well. The In Body Stabilization IBS is so much better than the EM-5 and the increased resolution and much faster processor makes such a difference. Ive already tried to do some of the specialty processing that an OM-3 can do, but realize Ive got a lot of additional studying to do. My biggest complaint is that OM System has not released the OM Capture version that supports this camera. I cannot understand why. OI.Share is good for driving the camera from a phone, but there have already been instances where I want to tether it to my MacBook. No reason why this should not have been available day one.

Exceeded Every Expectation
Every expectation I had this camera exceeded. I came from both full frame Nikon and Fujifilm crop sensor camera bodies. It's easy to get caught up being concerned about it being a MFT sensor, and that has been ZERO issue. First of all, the computational photography modes give you a ton of flexibility with night shooting that far exceeds what I was able to accomplish even on my full frame. Secondly, look up the price of a Nikon 600mm f4 prime then look up the price of the OM equivalent 300mm f4 prime over 10,000 in a price difference. Lenses are smaller, lighter, and pro lenses at very fast apertures are significantly more affordable and take significantly better photos than equally priced lenses on full frame and crop sensor camera bodies. I can't say enough great things about this camera, the build quality, and the unique features available with computational photography and the art dial. I've recommended it to my friends and just had one try mine today and order her own. It's really that good.

Best, most robust, camera since the Nikon F
I've owned upwards of 25 full frame, apc, and 1" sensor camera bodies. This is by far my favorite. The build quality is truly on another level - think original film version Nikon F. It's the closest digital equivalent to that level of sturdiness. The computational photography features are out of this world if you want to expand your creativity with photography. Seriously, just buy it. Go to a store put your hands on it. Watch some of the OM videos on YouTube. This camera makes photography fun again!

OM-3: far more than I expected
I've been using the OM-3 for about 2 months (with the 12-40 f28; 40-15 f4, & 60mm f2.8 macro): I wanted to give it a good "go" before writing my thoughts. While I have hardly touched the sides of what this beast is capable of, I have to drop a review. I bought it as a 2nd camera, something light to travel with that I wouldn't worry about weather; I had no intentions of considering giving up my Nikon full-frame for "real" shooting! But after 2 months... my perspective has changed. The Nikon sits lonely in its bag. The OM-3 is incredible... so portable, so flexible, so customizable.... It's a joy to use. And as hard as I've looked, I can't complain about IQ. I struggled to justify the investment for a "2nd" camera, but I am so glad I did. It is changing how and how much I shoot... and I'm having a lot more fun!! The OM-3 is far more than a light travel camera: it is a race horse, a work horse, and has more tricks up its sleeve than you can ever use!

I have been a M43 for years epm1 epm2, ep5, ep7, em5, em10 etc. This camera has replaced everything, the beauty of the pen F but the specs of the OM1m2. It's basically the only camera I reach for when I'm going out.

The Carry It With You All the Time Camera!
As a first time MFT user and coming from other brands, I have thoroughly enjoyed the OM-3. So far, I have only explored the photo side of things. The body is roughly the same size as my 35mm film cameras and, in some cases, lighter. With the small 17mm f1.8, the camera stays small, light, and unobtrusive. A grip might be convenient if you use the bigger and heavier zooms. Ergonomics are great, from the dials to menu system. When I was going through the reviews, some people lamented the little power switch being positioned on the top left. If you carry your camera on a strap and hanging on the right. You can lift the camera with your right hand while powering it on with your left. No big deal. You often have both hands on your body anyway. Most importantly, the image quality this camera produces is outstanding and right out of the box, too. Jpegs SOOC are indeed as good as other reviewers have said. Sharing is so easy. Connect wirelessly, access the files via the app and load them directly into your photos app. A little culling, perhaps a little crop here and there, and you're done. If RAW is your preference, you have even more editing latitude, especially at higher ISOs. In any case, you really need to push the camera hard and blow up images quite an amount before they become unacceptable. Overall very impressive The camera offers a bunch of general looks and in "creative" mode you have access to even more. Plus, you can easily tweak those to create your preferred look. Modifying them is a straightforward process. It would be nice if white balance sticks with a look, but you can lock it in with the custom settings you select on your top dial. Besides the images, the camera is very easy to configure to suit your needs. Reprogram to your heart's content. The dials, screens, OVF and Fn buttons are already changed from their default on my camera. One thing I really like is that autoexposure lock stays on until you turn it off. A nice feature on a tiny camera! The super screen, plus the creative dial, plus the computational button make configuring this camera on the fly very easy so you can focus on capturing the scene in front of you. Overall, this is one of the most fun cameras I've had in my hands in a very long time. It is indeed a camera I want to have with me everywhere I go ...

A great all-arounder
I already have m43 lenses from owning several Lumix bodies. The OM-3 is a great all-around camera that is both retro stylish and packed with features in a compact, lightweight body. I will use for travel, family, macro work and birding. I recommend a third-party grip for heavier zoom lenses and telephotos.

I think I would simply say that this camera is a lot of fun to take everywhere with you. It is very well made with a metal body and weather sealing. It has a BSI stacked CMOS sensor that is great for photos and video. It has computational features built in, like live ND, grad ND, live composite, and many others. It also has different filter and other effects you can implement with the mode dial on the front. There really isn't much this camera can't do. The frosting on the cake, is that it looks like a classic OM System film camera, from the 70s and 80s, which is awesome. I will just summarize, by saying that I love this camera, and I take it wherever I go.

Great camera!
The OM-3 is an amazing camera. I had the OM-5 before but I wanted more computational photography features (2 stops more on LiveND LiveGND). I was also looking to get more control over jpg for casual photography and quick shots of my kids, without having to deal with raw files every time. Compared to OM-5, the AF is fast, and tracking is working really well, with various AI subject detections. The only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because I feel they could have improved the color profile settings. It's basically the same as the old PEN-F or PEN E-P7. Other brands are now doing similar things and sometimes even better. My wish would be: 1) ability to save the white balance with the color profile 2) ability to set the grain for color profiles (like BW) 3) add color hue wheel (and maybe luminance wheel) 4) add two points on tone curve for pure black and pure white 5) Finally, when looking at my takend pictures, when I click to edit a raw file in-camera, we are limited to apply a saved profile. It would be great to be able to customize again all settings. So I could have my 4 color profiles I use the most, but still being able to edit some pictures with other settings. They really need to improve the concept of recipes and in-camera editing. As a camera made for outdoor aventures and travel, having the ability to quick edit without a computer would be a nice feature.

Broken power switch after 3 months
Love the camera despite the power switch breaking after 3 months. I bought while in japan and the receipt was somehow lost in travel so I can't claim the warranty but luckily I had already remapped the power to the function switch so here's hoping nothing else breaks

Inspired to photograph!
After cycling through the E-PL9, E-P7, and E-M10 IV, I consolidated my kit into the OM-3. I was initially skepticalI've always preferred the sleek, flat-top rangefinder aestheticbut this camera's upgraded sensor and color science won me over instantly. The handling is superb, and it feels like a precision tool. Whether I'm using primes like the 12mm, 14mm, and 17mm, or the workhorse 12-40mm f2.8 PRO, the performance is snappy and reliable. I recently tested it in a low-light portrait session with the Sigma 30mm f1.4, and the results were nothing short of stellar. While I bought it for street, landscapes, and automotive photography, its versatility is impressive. I've barely scratched the surface of the computational features, but I'm excited to grow into them. Ultimately, this camera inspires me to get out and shootand that's the highest praise I can give. The OM-3 is a great camera. I genuinely enjoy using it, especially because the computational modes are so practical in real shooting. The 80MP high-resolution mode gives me noticeably more detail and improved dynamic range, which makes a real difference in my images. The design is one of my favorite things about it. A lot of people actually think it's a film camera at first, and they're always surprised when they realize it's a modern, high-tech camera. The built-in ND filter is extremely useful for how I shoot, and the weather sealing and cold resistance are a big plus for me since I often work outdoors. Overall, it's a camera that's both fun and inspiring to use, while still being incredibly capable and reliable.

Really wanted to love this camera...
This camera ticks the boxes for looks with the silver and black retro style of previous film cameras and has the stacked sensor and sensor that brings with it live composite, focus bracketing, built-in ND and more. The lack of a joystick to move the focusing point and the appearance of the extra screen to pick the spot causes me to miss shots that I would not have missed with the OM1 II. I know this is targeting to street and every day photographers but, once in a while, you get an opportunity to catch a moving object and this camera requires an extra step to select you focusing spot. The subject recognition is very good but still misses objects which requires the user to select the focus point. The other hindrance is the color "recipes". Although a great idea, requires you to upload from a computer with the renaming a hassle. I would prefer uploading user installed LUTS due to the availability and be able to upload using SD card or Mobile App. I know these can be applied via LR or other program but sometimes I like to shoot .jpg and cook the color into the file and test my "straight out of camera" skills by using film style LUTS or "recipes". The next iteration could be a hit with user supplied suggestions but I don't think it will happen as the OM-5 has not incorporated many things users have been wanting for years.

I would give body and mechanics 5 stars, but give menu and functionality 4 stars and App for 3 stars for body 1st, Your body buttons are too small that it fits the people who is only 5 feet 2nd, I wish you can add more buttons on the body or adding stacked dials to give people more possibility to builder their own functionality to their heave scenarios. Like on the stacked dial, the top dial is for Scenarios, and the bottom dial is for technics. for menu - lacking deleting multiple photos at once using touch screen, think about commercial photography which has to make hundreds of hundreds photos a day, they need to select what they need, and delete tons of what they don't need. - I spend 20 minutes try to find a function in your so deep and complex menu, that cost my 400 watts lights 15 energy in my studio, what if you can give me the AI search bar and let me search - the menu is technical based, but for photographers, they are scenarios based, they want to have under the portrait scenario, which settings and functionalities I should set and save. This menu is efficient to use for photographers. for functionality This high-end camera even doesn't have selfie mode, making a selfie is so hard for me when conjunction with Oi APP. For App the App is so poor, 1st, it reacts too slowly. Every time I have to wait tons of seconds to let it be ready, which is so frustrating. In remote mode, the app can't support face recognition, AE lock, high-res mode, HDR, ND and my C1-C5 custom settings I made from camera. That makes me impossible to make a smooth selfie from the App. Why App is more important even than camera itself, is because I can use my 11-inch iPad to monitor, seeing everything much clearly than your 3-inch tiny LCD Screen.

My most favorite camera I have EVER owned. I love this thing so much. Wonderful size and shape. Comfortable to hold. Overall amazing design. I hope you continue with this form factor. Light and small enough. But still powerful. I love the color modes. I would like some of the other color modes added also. There's a color shift in on workspace. That would also be nice. I like how each C mode can have its own saved settings on the color dial. It's really powerful and configurable. And it takes amazing photos. Wonderful camera. I love using the 12-45 f4 on this. And the 17 f1.8. But I can still put a 45 1.2 on it and use it comfortably. My only suggestion would be more color modes. Add color shift Create some new film like art filters.

Great camera - professional results
This is a great camera. It's lightweight, and carrying it all day is a joy. The autofocus is quick, and the color rendering is excellent. High ISO performance is very good. The 1245mm Pro lens is impressively sharpstop it down to f7 and it becomes super tack-sharp. The camera's all-metal body feels solid and premium. Holding a metal camera like this just makes you want to pick it up and shoot. Using it is genuinely enjoyable. Here's a tip for new OM-3 users: map the AB switch on the back to function as the power switch. That way, you can control everything with your right handsuper convenient. Olympus OM System cameras are practically bombproof. Take them out in snow, rain, or any harsh environmentthey can handle it. I speak from experience, having used the OM-D E-M5, E-M5 Mark II, E-M1 Mark III, PEN-F, and now the OM-3. A small, lightweight system like this makes photography enjoyable. Without the burden of heavy gear, you stay in a creative mode all day. The OM-3 produces beautiful colors consistently. Why only four stars? The all-metal build is excellentexcept for the power and AB switches, which are plastic. For such a well-crafted camera, it's disappointing to see corners cut on just two small components. Spending a bit more to make those switches metal would elevate the entire package. It's a minor detail, but it matters. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my OM-3. Paired with the 1245mm Pro, it makes for a fantastic system. It delivers great colors, it's fast and responsive, it can handle any type of environment and thanks to its light weight, it's a joy to use.
