The rebel series is junk. It pries on beginners ignorance. Please don’t buy this camera. You can spend less and buy a used Canon 6D (tech from 2012) or a used Canon 7D mark ii and a nifty fifty (50mm f1.8) for $100 and get such a better setup when it comes to the shutter speed, lowlight, battery life, etc for less!

Used this camera to take a photo shoot of a friend’s event, and we ended up very disappointed in the quality. Switched to the phone midway thru the shoot and those pics ironically turned out better. The camera also sometimes will take up to 15 seconds to snap the pic, because it keeps adjusting and adjusting… too many missed shots, but the ones it did take the quality was unimpressive.

I'm very new to this camera. Never had one like it ever! So when I was peer pressured by family to buy one, I did. Reviews were great and easy for beginners as they say. Well, it is easy. Very intimidating with the lens piece and settings, etc. but YouTube was a great tool in educating me on how to use iso, apparatus, f/5, etc. small enough for my hands, easy upload of photos from camera to phone. Super clear pics, which is the number one reason I wanted it so I can take family photos whenever I want.

Don't post my previous review. I am tired, and finally figured it out. I had to disable the wifi, if I connected it to my computer. I did that, and it automatically gave me the option to download my pictures. I'm relieved, because I love my camera.

This was a replacement camera for an old digital rebel. Same sort of camera, just updated a bit, because I hadn't been able to use my old one for several years, it was broken, and this was the most affordable one available... can I connect this to my new computer? NO. I used to be able to just plug in a cord (had to use my old one, because this one didn't have one), and download my photos. It doesn't work that way now. Can I connect it to my computer via the wifi it is connected to? NO. Can I get my photos off here at all? I managed to transfer a few to my phone, but that doesn't help me here. I need them on my computer. I can't return this, because the company that sold it to a family member, doesn't allow returns on opened electronics. I loved my old camera, but I can barely use this one. I've downloaded programs from the site, including one that is supposed to connect to the camera via wifi (?) and nothing is working, so I cannot use the photos I take. This is incredibly disappointing, we can't afford a newer camera, and this used to work! My model that didn't have wifi, that is.

Can’t remember how long i’ve had this camera for, 3+ years guaranteed, but wow it’s 100% worth it!!! I’m in a photo program & this has worked greatly for my school. Definitely costly at first but if you’re genuinely going to get into photo taking, all it’s functions, tools, settings ect & also basic photography skills, you will certainly produce great photos. Doesn’t matter if it’s 400$ or a 1000$ camera, it’s the person taking them that matters. All these photos i’ve taken over the years, you can do anything, as long as you’re willing to learn!!!

I was given this camera as a gift and was so excited to have my first personal camera after borrowing for years. I was HIGHLY disappointed that there was no audio input to the camera. I need that audio input too. Other than that, it’s a good starter camera for photo. Just not video (which I needed it for).

I bought this the other day because the lens on my other Canon died. It only made sense to buy the entire camera instead of paying $$$ out the butt for the lens only. I love this one, slightly upgraded with nice features. I'm happy! :-)
