Oneida 20pc True Rose Mirror Flatware Set

Bought 2 sets of this to replace an Oneida set that we had lost pieces over the years (the design has long been discontinued). Size-wise and weight-wise, they’re not much different from my old set. (See pic; True Rose/new pieces on the left, Cantata/old pieces on the right.) If Oneida hasn’t lowered their standards for quality and durability, this new set should last us for decades… if we don’t lose any pieces. Love the classic rose design and that it doesn’t contain nickel (my husband’s allergic). I’ll probably buy the hostess serving pieces and more place settings to complete my set.

Perfect size flatware (I.e., spoons are not too large!), and a nice comfortable weight. I love that they are dishwasher safe, also! I’ve used them for about two weeks now, and no pitting and the luster is still going strong. I know I’ll enjoy these for years to come!

There’s a vintage charm to them that makes them stand out, and the quality is fantastic.. solid weight, great craftsmanship, and attention to detail. What’s even better is that they come at an excellent price point for the quality you’re getting. The only small downside is that they’re a little smaller than what I’m used to. My previous set had slightly larger pieces, and the larger utensils in this set are closer in size to the small ones from my old set. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if you prefer bigger flatware.

I will definitely be busting this out when we have people over for dinner in comparison to the crusty dusty forks and knives we use everyday. They feel very durable and the knives are able to cut through the thickest of steaks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The set is absolutely beautiful. It’s perfect for a tea party. However, it’s very lightweight not sure how durable it will be. They're easy to clean, very shiny, and lightweight. If you like lightweight silverware these are perfect for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this in exchange for my honest review. Pros: Really pretty design. Nice weight when picking up which adds to the luxurious feel. The serrated part of the knife is really nicely designed. Overall, a lovely, midrange set. Cons: 18/0 stainless steel makeup. Which sounds good, but the 0 means it’s missing nickel. Nickel (18/10 for example) is what keeps them from becoming dull and from corrosion. So they probably won’t look good for as long. However, this might be a positive for you if you’re allergic to nickel and have been searching for a nice set.

Silverware spoons, forks and knives are way too small!

My mother gave me an 8 piece set of this pattern when I was 18 - now am 79 and it STILL looks Wonderful!! Love the size of the main fork, newer ones are just humongous!! Over the years, I added to my set and it all matches nicely!

I have had my first 8 place settings for a little over 8 years, they're used every day & washed in the dishwasher & they still look brand new. In fact I can't tell the difference between between my new place settings & my original set.

Matched set exactly that we were given 40 yrs ago.
