Great Bread, Toasts Well, Fresh, Priced Midrange
I've been eating Oroweat (and it's other names) since the 70's. This is a good bread- the sweetner in the 70's was raisin juice- not sure what they use now (haven't looked) but I first started eating it because it didn't contain processed sugar. The new breads are tasty (most whole grain brands) but the problem is, if you don't have perfect teeth the seeds can be hard to eat- so while it may seem great to eat bread with seeds, it can cause problems. The seeds can get pushed down to lodge between the tooth and the gum- hard to get out and painful. I like this bread because it's easier to eat than dodging all the seeds that some breads add. Whole seeds are healthier, however, they can be crushed or soaked first so they don't turn out to be trouble makers. I wish this bread were organic- that would make it perfect in my book! This bread also toasts well. The price is just 'meh'. I mean really what can you expect from a Target that doesn't have a full grocery? Not their fault, I guess. Not sure why walmart is able to charge less even at their Market stores.
