Perfect size for kids and adults! Only leaks IF the hose isn’t tightened at the base, otherwise worked really well for our 1 week hiking trip! Enough space to keep food, nice pockets for a Gatorade bottle, selfie stick and compartment for phone. Lightweight, comfy. My 10 year old had no complaints!

Absolutely perfect for small, young children! I purchased one of these for my 5, almost 6 year old who weighs roughly 40 lbs. She loves it! I'm satisfied with the overall quality and design of the backpack since she is just starting to carry her own trail items (snacks, flashlight, small tools, notebook, etc). It sits just below the small of her back and I think she will be able to use it for a year or two at the max as we add more items for her to carry. I purchased a different brand and design for kids of 10 and 11 yr old, this one would not have held everything they will be packing. My personal opinion: Pros: mesh straps so she doesn't get too sweaty, long straw so we can adjust to a comfortable length, straw can be secured on either left or right shoulder, chest strap for added control, large hydration bladder, 3 decent pockets for small items, reflective safety strip on the back. Cons: No reflective safety strips on the front straps or chest buckle, no side pockets for an extra water bottle or umbrella, pockets are small so don't hold much at all (but again, made for kids that might not need to carry much), I do not like the way the bladder is held in place by wooden toggle buttons, would also prefer that the middle pocket was easier to open/close with clips instead of just an extendable strap. Lastly, it does repel a little water but not as well as I would like. It absorbs some water.

This is good for about a 5-6 year old. It’s way to small for anyone bigger.
