Outset Stainless Steel Roasting Basket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using this quite a bit for grilling our veggies in the grill, And love it so far. It's so much better than what I was doing which was using foil. Just throw your veggies in the basket and put it on the grill. No more veggies falling through the grates either. Love it for slicing potatoes and have fried potatoes. So many things you can do with this. Easy to clean, have had no issues with food sticking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A Sunday roast is a tradition in our family, and this stainless steel basket has getting a weekly use. I have roasted a chicken, a pork tenderloin and a beef sirloin so far. I just put the meat in the middle, set the basket down in the roasting pan and pop it in the oven. When your meat is about three quarters done, add you potatoes, carrots, onions, etc. and continue to roast until done. The veggies roast in the drippings, so you get all of the flavor, but when you use this basket you actually can pull the roaster out and lift the basket so that fat drains away! It goes in the dishwasher for easy cleanup, and I haven't had any problems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sits on your grill grate and the mesh is large enough to allow smoke and flame to permeate your food, but small enough to preserve the integrity foods that might otherwise crumble or fall into the grates. I have tried grill mats but it always seems that it also blocks some of the lovely grill flavor and char marks. I do spray the basket with nonstick grill spray, but other than that prep is a breeze. Load your basket, place on grill, and enjoy. Nice sturdy handles. We even used this over a campfire to warm s’mores.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this roasting basket about 3 times so far and I love it. I look forward to roasted veggies each summer but go through many baskets. This basket has proven to be my favorite so far. The holes are small enough that the veggies do not fall through, but big enough to let the heat go through. The overall size of the basket fits nicely on our grill leaving plenty of room for burgers/steak/chicken. Lastly, I find it easy to clean. I usually clean it soon after use so things to stick too much. Great basket!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First thing I noticed when I got this was the sturdy quality it was made out of. Fits perfectly in my grill and oven to roast veggies, corn, etc. I like to have this on one side of my grill while the meat is cooking on the other.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The roasting basket is heavier and thicker than I expected. The frame of the basket is really great quality. It is a shiny and thick stainless steel. I am slightly concerned that the metal mesh won’t last as long as the frame after using it on the grill for a season. The metal mesh is a much thinner gauge of metal. Not flimsy but with the high heat of the bbq, the longevity is concerning. The sides are high enough so the vegetables don’t risk falling out when you toss the vegetables. The basket prevents small or slender vegetables from falling through the grill grates. I have been known to lose a lot of vegetables when grilling, so this was really helpful. The basket looks nice enough to take it to the table as a serving dish (with a cutting board or tray underneath). I even used the basket to wash some fruit when my colanders were occupied. Will be useful in the future to drain french fries or other fried foods. I like having multi-use kitchen tools and this is definitely one that has more than a use as a grilling basket. I almost want to keep it in pristine condition by using it in the kitchen as a colander/drying basket instead of on the grill outside because it is so pretty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive this basket and am excited to use again. Easy to use and holds lots of vegetables, easily enough for 4 people! No more veggies falling through the grates of our gas grill and the handles make it easy to transport from the deck to the kitchen. Recommendation on instructions is hand wash only; kind of a bummer, took off 1 star.
