I have made kabobs on them and the beats and vegetables stay nicely. These are skewers are high quality and a big plus is that they come with a canvas bag for easy and convenient storage!

I had several small sets of skewers, none of which matched, and loved how this standardized the set and gave easy storage so they don't get lost! No more soaking wooden skewers, or looking for the missing piece in a set. Such an upgrade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that these paddle skewers come with a storage bag, The storage bag is super handy so the skewers stay together and don’t get lost or separated from each other. The skewers are easy to wash. The skewers are flat so the food doesn’t spin which is great and there are 12 of them which I think are a good number of skewers. I kind of wish there was something at the end of the skewer that wasn’t metal so you could grab onto that wasn’t hot when you take them off the grill but otherwise it is great. I would still recommend them to family and friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am new at making kabobs on the grill, but it's something I've always wanted to do. Outset paddle skewers worked good for me .... I wasn't sure what to expect since this was my first time making kabobs. The tip of the skewer is sharp and pointy which made putting meats and vegetables on easy. While grilling some of the meats would spin while I was turning the kabobs. I noticed if I picked up the kabobs by the vegetables instead of the meat there was no issue of spinning. The meat didn't stick to the skewers; the food was able to be removed easily from the skewers. This set comes with a canvas bag which makes for easy storage. The back of the bag has a small handle that can be used for carrying or hanging up the bag. The canvas bag is made from a thick sturdy material which won't allow the skewers to poke through. This set includes 12 skewers with paddle handles. The handles is the only issue with the skewers I think can be improved, because the handles are only 1 1/2 inches long. I think if the handles were just a little bit longer it would be easier to hold. I've used them several times and they have been holding up great! I have only hand washed them even though the package says it's dishwasher safe. Outset paddle skewers worked great for me, and I feel it is a great product made with quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The "OUTSET" paddle skewers are nicely finished stainless steel skewers. The set of 12 skewers come in a well made canvas storage pouch with a Velcro closure and convenient hanging loop. Each individual skewer is 12 inches long with a 10 inch business end and 2 inch handle. The skewers are flat with a sharp point for piercing food. I was concerned that being flat the skewer would be too flexible, but they are beefy enough and do not flex very much at all, even when piercing thick or difficult food. The point is sharp enough to penetrate most foods easily yet not destroy or tear smaller morsels. I was able to easily pierce Pork, Beef, shrimp, peppers, onions and even the small salad tomatoes. But what I really like about the skewers, is that by being flat, they have excellent holding ability. food does not "spin" or slip around like is often common on your typical round skewers. The handle portion of the skewer, although the same thickness as the rest of the skewer, it widens out from 1/4 inch wide to a full 5/8 inch wide by 2 inch long "paddle". I found this wide enough to allow you to handle the skewer and turn it for even cooking, but I have large fingers and I would prefer a little more width. The skewers are dishwasher safe and being stainless steel, clean up nicely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These stainless steel skewers are reusable and don’t require soaking them in water before using (unlike traditional bamboo skewers). The canvas bag is thick and will keep the pointy skewers safe when not in use. I was expecting the bag to just be a useless add-on but it actually seems quite functional. The skewers themselves are really sharp and easy to use on meat and vegetables. The flat construction “grips” the food and prevents it from spinning. This made it much easier to turn on the grill. The stainless steel helps heat the food from inside but the flat handle also means it stays hot for some time. Be careful when touching after taking them off the grill! I was impressed by the packaging of each individual skewer with plastic tubes to protect the tips of each skewer. It was a little unnecessary and wasteful to have each skewer in plastic sleeves. They are labeled as 10 inches but this does not include the handle. With the handle, they are 12 inches. This might be important for people with small or travel grills. I am happy they come in a set of 12, which is perfect if a few extra people come to visit. Not sure how they will hold up but seem like they will last for a long time.
