The Outshine frozen fruit bars have garnered mixed feedback from guests, with many praising the refreshing flavors and creamy textures, particularly the coconut and lime varieties. However, concerns about recent changes in taste and quality, including reports of contamination and inconsistent flavor profiles, have led to disappointment among some guests. Despite these issues, the bars remain a popular choice for a guilt-free treat on hot days, appealing to both kids and adults alike.

Loved These Until I Found Out They Could Contain Glass
I actually really liked these fruit bars. We got the strawberry ones. They tasted good, loved the pieces of real strawberries in them, and I had been buying them for myself and my three year old son. Unfortunately, after this recall, I will not be purchasing them ever again. What happened is absolutely horrifying to me as a parent. My toddler and I had already eaten some of the affected Outshine Fruit Bars when Target contacted me a few days later to tell me there had been a recall because the products could contain glass. Thankfully, neither of us experienced any injury or symptoms, and I am extremely grateful for that. But finding out after the fact that something I gave my child could potentially have contained glass was absolutely horrifying, especially given the seriousness of what ingesting glass could entail. What bothers me most is that this recall was initiated AFTER consumers reported finding glass in the product. In other words, consumers discovered the glass in their own fruit bars. As a customer, that is incredibly disturbing to me. Food safety controls should prevent dangerous foreign objects from reaching consumers in the first place. I understand that mistakes can happen in manufacturing, but glass in food is not a minor quality issue—it is a serious physical safety hazard. I also find it concerning that the company has not publicly explained what caused the glass contamination. I understand that an investigation may still be ongoing, but as a consumer, it is difficult to have confidence in a product when I don’t know what went wrong or what specifically is being done to ensure it cannot happen again. I genuinely liked these bars before this happened. But once I learned that my child and I had eaten a recalled product that potentially contained glass, the trust was gone. I don’t want to have to wonder whether the next box I buy will be safe. I’m thankful that Target contacted me and allowed me to return the product, and I’m thankful that neither my son nor I was injured. But this experience was frightening enough that I will be choosing a different brand from now on. Good product, but food safety has to come first. Glass in a child’s food is sinply not a mistake that can afford to be made and is unacceptable.

Incredibly disappointed and misled
Your company has a line of products all referred to as fruit bars including creamy coconut. I was shocked and dismayed to learn that it contained diary. No where on the front packaging is this revealed. To include dairy in an obvious fruit product is deceptive at best and dangerous at worst. For those of us who are entirely plalnt-based or dairy intolerant, this is truly unfortunate. Granted we are all responsible for reading labels but this is in a line of totally fruit-based products let alone your failure to note that on package front. If a milk product is considered necessary, I would suggest coconut milk or other plant-based milk.

Perfectly lime-y, sweet and tart
This popsicle gives the perfect blend of sweet and tart, and tastes like frozen limeade. The flavor is so enjoyable on a hot day. I like several of the Outshine flavors, and love that Target often offers these items on sale for significantly less than other grocery stores. I've been keeping a couple of boxes a month in my freezer throughout the summer months.

New Flavor - No Longer Lime
I recently was looking for a low calorie cold snack for the heat wave, and came across these bars. After having 5-6 boxes the most recent box tastes completely different… I am extremely disappointed and am hoping the next one will be better but it seems like I might be going elsewhere for a good lime bar

Honestly the best brand of popsicles out there
Delicious coconut bars I would recommend to anyone that likes coconut, only thing I see that could change is make a family sized box now that would be nice. They could also do holiday flavors limited time flavors and things.

Taste seems to have changed in 2026
The flavor of this is not the same as in the past. Always one of my favs but something is off. I honestly thought I detected a coconut flavor but nothing like that was listed as an ingredient.

Lime popsicles taste different now
My family and I have been eating these lime popsicles nearly every day for years, we love them so much. But recently, we have gotten multiple boxes at the store over multiple weeks that have a distinctly different taste. They now taste like pineapple, and it’s odd. It’s been at least 3 straight boxes with this new taste. We’re sad, they were perfect before.

Lime tastes very different!
I just bought two boxes of the lime after a couple of months not having them and the taste has changed drastically - it's bad now. I see the ingredient list is different, as well. Is this a permanent change or will things go back to the former recipe?

What happened to the coconut pulp?
These are my absolute favorite popsicles, specifically the coconut and strawberry ones. However, the last two boxes I got of the coconut ones had absolutely no coconut shreds in them! I was super disappointed since that was my favorite part. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the change.

I eat this every day
I mean, if I was going to be addicted to anything I guess this would be it. These frozen fruit bars are my go to whenever I need something delicious and just a little bit sweet. I live in such a cold climate where it gets below zero in the winter time and I still ate one of these every day on my drive back to work.

Couldn't imagine a better treat!
When I first read the reviews about this bar, I have to say I was skeptical. What if my bar came without a handle? What if the stick was buried? What if ALL the bars in the package had no visible and easily accessible stick? Folks, let me tell you - the stick placement could not be any better. As soon as I opened the box, the handles were all clearly displayed, visible through the clear individual wrapping that Outshine has so strategically selected. Not only is the stick placement A+, but the bar is a rich and beautiful coconut flavor. That's not all. The bars come with actual shreds of coconut embedded in the bar. I know what you're thinking; with such a delicious and creamy bar, the calorie count must be off the charts, right? WRONG. The calorie count for 1 serving is only 120 calories. Better yet, there are 2 bars in 1 serving! All in all, I've never been more satisfied with a popsicle than I am with this one. I would never call anyone that disagrees with my opinion a bozo, but one wouldn't necessarily be wrong for doing so. Outshine, you've won my loyalty for life.
