Picture Day - by Matthew A Cherry (Hardcover)

Book Synopsis

A young boy with locs prepares for back-to-school pictures in this empowering picture book that celebrates mothers and sons, from the New York Times bestselling author of Hair Love.

Nico's locs are his thing.

They're a lot like him, cool and free. They always match his fits for basketball or errands with Mom. But tomorrow is picture day, and Nico's classmates wonder if he'll wear his hair the same old way.

Flipping through a photo album with Mom of all his different styles, Nico remembers to listen to his heart.

With empowering text and joyful illustrations, Picture Day is an ode to the self-love that grows from knowing who you are and walking the halls with your crown held high.
