Propper M65 Field Coat,Olive,XL-L

Great coat and true to size! Propper in my opinion offers the closest thing you can get to USGI M-65 field jacket! All season jacket with removable liner included. Black is a hard color to obtain, so I got one as soon as I could! Looking forward to the cold weather!

Generally good construction, however the stitching around the button holes is sloppy in several spots and seem like they will readily fray. I had tried a similar jacket of the same size (Small) on in store before ordering the color I wanted (navy blue) online since it was not stocked in the store I visited. It seems like there is some quality/variability in jacket size. The jacket that I tried in store was a true to size fit, while the one I ordered online ran large. I think this could be great (5 star) jacket, the one I tried on in the store certainly was. However, it seems like purchasing online was not the best move. I would recommend buying in person where you can look at the quality of the jacket in person and inspect for flaws and sizing rather than gambling with what you get online. The quality of the jacket itself is a 3, but the disappointment factor knocks it down to a 2.

The collar comes up when the weather turns ugly—or when you want the world to keep its distance. Zipper and snaps feel solid, like they won’t fail when things go sideways. Black, not fashion black—working black. The kind that hides grime, rain, blood, and bad nights. The kind that doesn’t show wear so much as it earns it. This jacket looks better the longer it survives. You don’t wear an M65 like this to be noticed. You wear it because it works. Because it lasts. Because when the job is done and the lights go out, it’s still there, same as you.

Bought it for my son. Fit is good. The only issue is the liner doesn't line up with the jacket on two buttons on right side so liner bunches up a little in the top side.
