I really love this book! Honestly when I received it from publisher I do not have any expectation, because "I have 2 old dogs, what new I can read about rising a dogs, oh common" But I was surprised! It books full of useful information, based on science research but wrote with so many love to dogs. I made so many tags with some tricks in training a and rising healthy dogs! Some information was like " i know it before, but I need that someone told me about it again", and it was also good! And, honestly goldens never was my breed of dogs, but info in this book, it's about all dogs, of course for whom who have goldens it will be even more useful. And even when it book about rising a puppy I found a lot for my two mix breed oldies! I can only thanks a lot to Kerry Nichols for this book, what now will be my my handbooks to answer so many questions in behavior of my fluffy family.
Loved it!

This book was very informative and I took a lot of useful information away after reading it. I have two golden doodles and I’m always looking for ways to better understand what they need from me to have a healthy, happy life. I was amazed at how much goes on the first few weeks of a dog’s life. I knew good breeders were important before reading this book, but this book helped me understand why it’s so important to find a good breeder before buying (if not adopting). I received an ARC from Celadon Books. This review is completely my own and reflects my honest thoughts and opinions.
