Note: the outdoor post lights are not compatible with hollow posts; first install a flat cap or fill post with wood. Each 6x6 post cap solar light features 30 LED lamp beads with an automatic light senser to power on and off at dusk and dawn, with a 10-hour maximum runtime after 4-5 hours of charging.

A: Yes. These solar post cap lights are intended to cast light downward around the sides of the post, rather than shining upward. The 30 integrated LED beads produce a warm white (3000K) glow that illuminates the surrounding deck, fence, or patio below the cap.
