[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When Matrix mega leek changed its formula (after being a loyal user of the product for 20 years), I was bereft. The new formula wrecked my hair and made it feel like straw. So, I was back on the hunt for a moisturizing conditioner with Shea butter that would soften my mixed curly/frizzy hair, give it shine, provide slip and detangling, and maintain its health between trims. Pureology Hydrate Conditioner is the closest I can get to the old formula of my favorite conditioner. It’s expensive, but worth it to have my hair look & feel healthy-ish again. While it does not have the same sleeking properties in humidity, thankfully, I live in the desert, so it’s not a frequent issue.

I wasn’t expecting a ton since I don’t typically buy high end hair care due to the nature of me having a ton of hair. I have pretty dry, wavy frizzy hair and this felt amazing on my ends and hair. it helped bring out my waves, and smelled amazing. definitely peppermint/rosemary forward. the one thing I wish is that the scents could be swapped from the conditioner to the shampoo, but otherwise 10/10!!
