Better than the Kadence Slowhand
I bought the Kadence Slowhand and the Pyle Premium at the same time, only $10 difference. They both arrived at the same day, no damage, both in good shape. The Pyle stands out for a number of reasons: It comes with a much better on board tuner, you can see it clearly and it looks a lot like a Korg or a Snark, and is easy to read. The Kadence is a line of very small letters, with the flat-sharp lights at the end of the row, which is confusing at first. The Pyle comes with a kapo. Good for them. Slowhand came with a strap. Ok, a bit of a wash. The Pyle sounds brighter, and had more sustain than the Kadence Slowhand. I think due to the paint on the Kadence Slowhand, it dampens the sustain a bit. Overall, in the accessory category, the bag the Kadence comes with is just is not as good as the upgraded bag for the Pyle. I can barely get the Kadence in the bag, and it is thinner. The Pyle bag has thicker padding, and the guitar just slides in. Overall, for a simple $10 difference, I would take the Pyle Premium over the Kadence Slowhand any day of the week. The both need setups, mostly straighten the neck a bit and lower the saddle. Neither had fret sprout, which tells me both are using good wood for the necks. Tuners, the Pyle and the Kadence are about the same. Little play, but for this money level, they both tune. But the Pyle is just a better guitar, and it includes a pickguard which you stick on, but finger-pickers never use these, and I would not put it on. But it is there. Spend the extra $10 for the Pyle.
