I like the pricepoint of this item. They are a little smaller than I imagined, even seeing the size on the box. I’ll see if kiddo likes these. He loves the plain gigglescape set that is larger. I dislike the theming of each set. I’d have already purchased one of the 100 piece sets if they were solid colored. They spend enough time playing Minecraft and watching others play online. I want them to use their imaginations and create their own item, not trying to build something from a game they’ve seen. That being said, I’ll probably buy the “Minecraft” style set when it’s on sale. I dislike the rattling sound the magnets inside make. The blocks definitely won’t fall apart, while playing on a solid surface, but I don’t think they’re as strong as the magnets in the $10 gigglescape set. My kiddo plays with the gigglescape set for hours. Hopefully I can add more details to my review once he’s played with this so we can determine durability. There are a variety of pieces in the set. Some are plain solid blue (water) and solid tan (sand). I wish more were solid colored though. I may also add the girly $10 cubetech set.
