Do not buy. Zipper will fail
I’ve had 2 of these (fool me once…) and the zipper failed quickly on both despite greasing it and being very careful. The newer one had an even worse design.

Zipper issues
Had this slightly over a year with not a lot of use. Put lubricant on the zipper regularly and still came apart and stopped working after 15 months. Of course its out of warranty and now stuck with an over priced bag. Would not recommended unless made whole again

Nice cooler but didn't even last 45 days
This cooler has a fine tooth zipper that is two layers laminated together and it separates. I have a Yeti soft cooler about the same size with a very coarse tooth zipper that is much tougher. I used the white zipper grease that came with it religiously from day one but it didn't help. The Arctic keeps ice a little longer than the yeti but not much and I only need it to last one day at a time anyway and either one will easily do that. I use this cooler for 2 day weekends about 3 months out of the year and it didn't even make it a year and a half. It has a total of about 45 days of use and is stored inside of a heated and cooled house when not in use and it's kind of expensive to only last 45 days. I'm going to replace it with the yeti with the tougher zipper but I would definitely try Arctic again if they would ever upgrade to a better zipper and that's my only complaint but you can't zip it shut it's pretty much useless that's why I only gave it one star.

Zipper needs work!!!
I have had two of these coolers and while it does the job of keeping things cold the zipper is a pain. The first one I had lasted 4 months and the second one lasted just a little longer. I applied the gel stuff to help with the zipper as instructed but it still broke.

Good cooler
Great price, put the silicone on the zipper- makes a difference. Appears to be well made. Time will tell. Happy with purchase.

Quality is lacking
I received this cooler as a gift and it has been great— lightweight, size is perfect. However, after about a year of fairly light use it started falling apart. The zipper pull has broken and the seams are starting to come apart, as well.

Zipper always fails
I've purchased at least 6 of these coolers. They hold ice well and are strong. One on mine flew out of the boat at 70MPH and ran over by a Semi. I still used that cooler for 1 year after that. It really is a tough cooler. It's just the zipper always fails within 2 years. Yes, I lube the zipper many times throughout the year. We had 2 coolers go down this Labor Day weekend, 2026. Of course it was the zippers that failed. Both coolers are around 2 years old. I ordered two 22QT Ultra Lite hard coolers to replace them. I have ALWAYS used RTIC products but the Zipper needs a redesign.

How long will zipper last?
After a 6 day trip on the river and a 6 day trip to the desert, I am not sure how well it holds ice, a day maybe. On the desert trip the zipper got several "sticky" spots in it that looked like they were going to separate. The zipper never came apart, and we will see if washing it helps, but it was only dust. I like that it seals up airtight. I bought this one to replace one that the zipper came apart on.

Zipper literally falls apart
The rubber material of the zipper literally crumbles after four to five years, even if the bag is rarely used. This renders it unzipable and most unusable because it won’t retain cold for nearly as long. (The bag is stored in a garage cabinet in California and has been used only three to four times a year. )

Soft Cooler
My cooler is a little over a year old and we have barely used it and now the zipper is separating. We normally love our RTIC products so I’m extremely disappointed.

Cooler Replacement
I had bought this cooler to replace one I had purchased years ago. The old one was falling apart at the seems. The soft sided coolers are amazing. I use them in my business to transport frozen packages of smoked meats to my customers. It will keep the meat frozen for a very long time. Very easy to carry with the handles or the shoulder strap. Quick shipping as well.

Love this cooler ONLY LASTS TWO YEARS
We love this cooler so much we have bought it three times as my husbands lunch cooler but sadly this third one just crashed and burned FOR THE SAME REASON! The zipper failed AGAIN! Every two years ago the zippers go on these. The rtic products are great and we have some amazing bigger coolers but I might advise getting a yeti instead of this until they fix the zipper on this.

Poor zippers
Do not buy as the zipper will break within a year or two. Terrible design the cooler is nice. They shouldve used a zipper like the yeti does as this waterproof zipper is awful.
