Like other reviews, the strap is too short if you have a high instep. I had to add extra Velcro to make it work. I have a metal rod in my leg into my ankle, so foot bed is extremely important. This worked, that's why I kept and made this shoe work. If the strap was longer I would give it 5 ⭐s

I have bunions and a narrow heal. I have this shoe in black and taupe and I find them very comfortable. I bought my first pair about 3 ys ago and I still love them. I have the 7 wide and usually wear without socks. I will note that the strap is too long, but the comfort makes up for it. I hope they haven't changed the cushioning. I highly recommenf

The Echo Mary Jane is a perfect fit, has the cushioning & support i require and the traction makes me feel safe!

I ordered the green Mary Jane one strap and loved them so much that I ordered the navy ones! I have 32 pair of Ryka shoes and never a problem until the strao came off on my second wearing of the green pair. I haven’t tried on or worn the navy ones yet. I haven’t 32 pairs of Rykas and buy only Rykas!

I really love my Rylan tennis shoes. Bought the Mary Jane’s because I am going overseas and thought these shoes would be a comfortable alternative to tennis shoes. It turns out that these shoes while attractive are not very comfortable for me. The strap cut into my feet and walking was ok but not as comfortable as I expected based on my experience with the tennis shoes which I wear every day and walk at least 4-6 miles daily.

Toe box is a little too narrow . Cute shoe just wish toe was more rounded/wider

Like many others have noted the strap is placed way too high on the shoe and cuts into the tendons. Terrible design would give it 1 star if not for the cushioned arch support that was appreciated. Could not wear and returned

Hi, I am very disappointed in the changes made to the sole and the added cushioning. I have been wearing ryka shoes going back 15 years. They wear well and thought of buying two more pairs that looked simular to my older ryka shoes. The heel height and cushioning to the Echo and Joy shoes after trying on was a surprise after taking my first couple of steps. I have had three knee surgeries. Any added height and cushion can create added instability and discomfort to walk. After 50 years in nursing, it has taken a toll on my knees. A firm supported sole with less cushion of the past years is perfered. I am a retired senior and have lost the window to return by 12 days. Time flies. It is unfortunate, since I am on limited funds. I love the non-skid sole and the velcro strap. The shoes are comfortable and beautifully styled. They are just a little sloppy in the width. Maybe I should have gone with a half size smaller, but always hard to fit things through the mail.

This shoe is wonderful! I was looking for a casual walking shoe for a trip to the UK. I need good arch support and cushion. Ryka to the rescue again! I can use them for dressier occasion too. I'm limited on space in my carry on so these will serve me well. I ordered a 9 for decided for lots of walking I'd go up a half size. I usually don't wear grey but the beige ones were out os stock. I think these will be a nice neutral color

Disappointed! I purchased a wide and I would expect that the strap is appropriately long enough but it barely stretches across enough for the tip of the velcro to hold. This squeezes to top of my foot and makes the strap uncomfortable. I am frustrated that I paid this much for a shoe that is will now avoid wearing because it's uncomfortable. The orthotics are comfortable and the width and size feel good which ages the strap tightness all the more upsetting. I do not have excessively fat feet, this is poor design. The strap should be longer if the shoe is wide width.

This is my third pair of Echo Mary Jane’s so obviously I am pleased with the way they fit with my bunions and how comfortable they are. I do wish the soles were the same color as the rest of the shoe, particularly the black. At times I want to wear them for a dressy occasion but feel the white sole on a black shoe looks more casual.

Very comfortable. I like that you can make tighten with the straps because I have some swelling in my right foot. They look great with jeans or dress pants.
