Description

The ice griffin has several pointy weapons to neutralise its enemies: in a duel, it first pierces the attacker's armour with its many, pointed claws, then it pecks at him with its massive, sharp beak. Sometimes it might do things in the opposite order, depending on what it feels like. What’s more, the cold-blooded monster has six razor-sharp ice feathers on each of its mighty wings, which it uses to keep enemies at a distance. But sometimes it’s already enough when it caws with deafening noise – because the sound is ear-piercing! Its opponents thus often choose to take off into the distance! It forms an ice-cold team together with the ice dragon, which rules over the bone-chilling heights of the ice world. The schleich® figures are all modelled with great attention to detail and provide educationally valuable playtime.

Great quality, nice wing movement

Great for tabletop RPGs!

The Ice Griffin is a big figure and makes an excellent friend or foe in your tabletop adventures. The wings are poseable via the ball joints. My figure did arrive with the upper beak broke off (the only Schleich figure I have had an issue with), but I simply super glued it back on. Overall, an impressive figure.

Great Griffin!

I bought this a while ago and it’s a great representation of the ancient Griffin! And it’s so covered in ice that it could make fog with fire and everything!

Stunning Concept and Execution

The color and modeling for this is absolutely stunning. The feathers fade to a frosted plastic that gives you just enough of a felling of them being chase of ice. The spiked ice shards that replace a few of the feathers was an outstanding idea, and the mix of clear and painted for the tail ties the inorganic ice into an organic creature beautifully.

Great toy

This toy was larger and more impressive in person than I thought from the pictures. The fully posable wings make for a lot of fun playing. This is one of my daughters favorite "monster" toys!
