Q: Do these training wheels fit a Schwiin Deelite 20 inch bike (youth)?

submitted by Rachel - 5 years ago
  • A: Hi Rachel! While we do our best to make training wheels fit as many bikes as possible, there are exceptions to this depending on the design. The design of some bikes, particularly this model, is made with a rear axle that is too short to accept the additional width of training wheels and brackets. It may be possible to have a local bike shop extend the axle to accommodate the training wheels or bike stabilizers may be another option.

Q: Will these training wheels fit Schwinn Signature Girls' Sunnyside 20” Bike

submitted by MMM327 - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi. Sadly, some 18" and 20" models do not have an axle long enough to safely support training wheels, and you will most likely need a set that mounts to the frame and not the axle. We recommend working with a Professional bike shop to ensure the training wheels are safely attached. They're the experts we rely on when it comes to adding components to a product that was not originally manufactured on the bike, additionally, they'll have all the resources to make sure you get the right training wheelset. Please reach out if you have any questions. Have a great day,

Q: Will these training wheels fit a 20inch boys WEIZE BIKE

submitted by Upset - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi. Great question, we recommend visiting a professional bike shop for suggestions on any upgraded or aftermarket replacement parts that are not originally manufactured on our products for safety purposes. They will be able to check into the compatibility of your model and recommend upgraded replacements to safety install on your bike. Warm regards,

Frustrating experience

I bought these training wheels for my daughter, and they worked great at first. Unfortunately, the left training wheel partially broke not long after, which made the whole setup very loose. Because of that, her bike kept leaning to one side and pulling in the wrong direction, making it really frustrating for her to ride. The quality is very poor, and it’s made learning to ride much harder than it should have been.

Great value, good quality

The price is comparable to other stores, and the quality looks to be very good. However, the plate that supports the position of the wheels on the bike requires a crossbar to lock into otherwise, the wheels will move backwards upon striking the ground.

Missing the last few nuts to actually attach it to the bike.
1 reply from SchwinnCustomerSupport team - 6 months ago
Since different axles have different thread pitches, it is important to use your bike's own axle nuts to install the training wheels.

Should be better

Bought these to add onto a bike that we had and it keeps bending. No matter how much we try to fix and adjust, it constantly bends off of the bike causing individuals to fall.

Not for a 20" bike, despite untrue claim

The claim this fits a 20” bike is a lie. The wheels do not come close enough to the ground to provide any stability or confidence. Fine for other sizes, but 20 is a lie.

Extremely bad quality

I’d give these a negative 5 starts if I could. Purchased and installed these on my son’s bike and within a month or so, the internal part of the wheels fell apart. The wheel now has too much play and barely hangs on. Have to look for another set of wheels. I think it’s a tremendous ripoff to pay $18 for these for them to last just one month.

These need constant adjusting on an 18' bicycle. Flimsy. Bolt covers fell off after a few rides. Do not recommend.

These are terrible, do not buy
