Q: You gave the dimensions of 27 inches long is that with the arm connection or is that just the trailer itself

submitted by Jack - 4 years ago
  • A: Yes you give the dimensions as 27 inches long is that with the the arm that connects to the bicycle or is that just where you put the cargo in in. And if that’s just for the trailer itself how long is the dimensions from where are you connected to the rear of the trailer

submitted byJack - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi Jack! The Daytripper trailer deck measures approx. 27”L x 18”W. The overall length of the trailer with bike attachment arm extended is approx. 47”. Thank you!-Jamie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As its name suggests, the Schwinn Day Tripper isn't the cargo trailer you'd pack for a weekend of gravel road bikepacking, but it really shines in everyday use. Hitching it up for a quick grocery run is super easy, and the mounting attachment is subtle enough to stay on the bike permanently. The two-wheel design lets you load it up without any trouble, and there are plenty of attachment points for securing odd-sized items. It's a straightforward, practical cargo trailer that we found very enjoyable to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Daytripper Cargo Trailer, makes a great addition to your bicycle. I use it to lug my small business tools/items around, and it works perfectly for that. I've been using it around 3-4 times a week for a couple hours now and it has worked great. The tires are rugged and it makes riding very smooth. However just about a couple days ago the bolt came loose and it had unhinged itself from the bike, which is my fault since I should have tightened it. I will need to get another bolt for it, however everything else has been working fine and the material hasn't been worn down yet. It's a great addition for lugging multiple small things around!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to assemble and use. The storage capacity was on the smaller side, but just what I needed. It felt a little wobbly at first until I packed my items correctly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s bigger than I thought it would be, but definitely not too big! I timed it and it took me fifteen minutes to assemble and about ten minutes to connect to my bike. The bike bit was pretty challenging it confused me. My mom really likes this too; I’m worried she might steal it from me lol. It pulls behind me very easily and it’s easy to get used to on the bike.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was relatively easy to put together. It comes with some good safety features, such as the flags on the back and reflectors. The wheels are heavy duty in my opinion. This will be great when we go for long rides on the bikes instead of having everything on our backs. The top (red part) is great but if u fold it back you have a lot more storage vertically!

Schwinn daytripper cargo trailer

Received it on Jun 22. I was well pleased on the whole set up. Well worth the money. The tripper pulls quite and level, true. Rims and tires are great. The flooring is usable, not real sturdy. I will put a plastic box inside the card. Or some shelving or support attached to the bottom. One all well pleased.

Great little cargo trailer. Sturdy frame, folds to a very small size when not in use, versatile, comes with safety flag. I read another review in which the cover was described as fraying quickly where it rubs against the sides of the trailer. Since mine is brand new, I can't answer to how the cover holds up over time but I don't see any rough edges that would cause it to wear. Another reviewer mentioned that they lost small items that vibrated out of the small holes at the edges. Well, if you're worried about that, place a light plastic bin inside. Seriously, if it's going to fold up, there's a chance that really small bits will vibrate out of the trailer at the fold points so just plan ahead.

Two big problems. First, gaps in the fabric siding allow items to fall out, second, after only one use two large sections of the roof panel wore through just by rubbing on the frame.
