Q: I received this as a gift but the hole to inflate is huge and impossible to close fast enough and seal without nearly all the air coming out. What am I missing to make this thing usable?

A: The answer is simple. The hole is not to inflate with air. The hole is to release the water. I know this because I did the same thing lol. You do not need to use an air pump with this. You just plug in the hose and it fills the border and when it’s completely filled it looks air blown and then the tiny holes all around release the water for the splash pad.

A: It’s simple, connect the water hose to the part that’s for the hose. The large hole is not to inflate air, it’s actually to release the water when finished. The water from the hose fills up the border and when completely filled, then the water will come through the little sprinkle holes.

Q: I can understand how filling with air would be confusing for many. It does specify in the listing that an air pump is required. My question, 1) why is that in the listing if it's filled with water?

Bigger than expected and cools you off great! I had to purchase a connector for the hose and remember to close the drainage spout on the undercarriage before using it your next time or you might think it no longer works because it will fill with water but the “sprinkler” water won’t shoot out because it’s just draining. And it’s not something you might remember because it is on the bottom of the splash pad, easily forgettable, nice for one or two littles of a relaxing way to cool down by yourself? Especially for the price

Was much better than expected! Toddler loved it and only slipped twice. Very pleased with purchase. Other reviewers mentioned it doesnt connect with a standard hose and that is because they didnt remove the extra adapter it comes with. Connection is totally fine

This is a fun way to cool off. It was a little confusing as the box said inflate and attach hose. It does not need to be inflated with air. It will inflate the outer ring with water to en enter into the sprinkler holes to cause a spray The pad was not slippery and it was larger then expected.

We’ve gone through a few splash pads. This one has a drain plug on the bottom which is so helpful when emptying it after use. So much quicker to put it away with the drain plug. 👍🏼

We love this splash pad! My toddler uses it daily in this southern heat! We haven’t had any problems with connecting the hose. I would argue that it looks like a whale with shark teeth, haha.

Be assured, the hose connector fits a standard hose (screw on) OR a push connector hose. The directions say to remove the additional connector piece if you don’t need the push connector piece. Very simple. The splash pad works well, holds a couple inches of water, and is cute. My 2 issues: the hose connection leaks where it meets the splash pad and the hose connection is on the top, which sits awkwardly with a heavy hose. These are minor issues for a $15 toy that makes my toddler extremely happy.

Advertised to connect to standard garden hose, but the hose attachment doesn’t fit any of our standard hoses (the little piece that goes into the hose nozzle is too long for the hose to connect). Construction also seems really poor, even for a $15 item.

Used it for the first time today and it was amazing. My toddler absolutely loved it. It hold just enough water to have fun splashing around or you can turn down the sprinklers and use it as a little tanning pool. Super cute as well
