Sharper Image Toy RC Mecha Rage

DO NOT BUY. The robots throw punches by rotating the upper portion (the torso). But the buttom portion (where the wheels are housed) will be turned to the other direction as a reaction to that force. You end up having two robots basically jerking around, hoping to land a lucky punch. Anything remotely close to precise navigation is impossible. Kids and I got frustrated and gave up fairly quickly.

We got these for my son last christmas and they are still working. We ha ent had any problems with them. Overall they are a little tricky to maneuver but once you get the hang of it, they are fun to play with.

It’s okay not the best

My 6 year old LOVES this! Like an old school Rock-em-Sock-em but with wheels! Lovrs playing it with his friends, and loves making the heads pop off. One thing he and his friends get somewhat frustrated with, however, is the robots' movement. The controls only allow you to kind of wiggle around, instead of driving fast in a specific direction, like a car. This might make annoy some kids enough that they moight walk away.

Absolute crap toy. Very difficult to navigate. Only moved in a circle. Barley punched. Made for a very frustrated 7yo.

I bought these as a birthday present for my 5yo. He was so excited to battle them but after 15 minutes of playing them the white one stopped working. I called the customer support number in hopes of getting some help but it never went through. I'm hoping we can exchange them, but I'm mostly just disappointed.

My son loves these. Had them for a few years. The red Robot is now starting to act up by not always functioning but have had them for several years

It’d be fun if it worked. Kids were disappointed as were we.

My 4 year old loved it, all that matters

White robot never functionally once all the new batteries were installed. It was fun to play with for about 20 minutes then neither worked.

Like others said, they worked great for about an hour, then suddenly one robot stopped working. Changed batteries and still, nothing. Please save your money and purchase something else.

I would not recommend and it doesn’t deserve one star. The white robot never worked. And the blue one barely moved. Very disappointed.

The red robot stopped working after 5 minutes. Changed all batteries - still doesn't work. HUGE disappointment. For the 5 minutes it did work, the robot has one way to move, even though it has 4 buttons. You have to place them near eachother and hope they wobble the right way to hit each other.

Hard to drive, short battery life, wouldn’t purchase again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thr rc mecha rivals is a cool little fighting robot rc toy. Cool feature is that you don't need two people in order to play with the set. You can set it up for one person. Just turn on the controller and robot you want to use first. Then you turn on the second robot. It moves itself so you can control one while "fighting" the other one. Does not go well on carpet (even thinner area rug) works better on hard flooring like wood or linoleum. And honestly it'd funny when you hit the other robot enough thr head pops off. The head actually has little legs so it's like a little figure with a big head that fits inside the top fo the robot. But it is super easy to use and reuse by just popping the head right back on! Great for one or 2 people to play

Got this as a gift for my son and the red robot broke. Went to get a new one and it happened again. Do not buy!

The robots were a lot of fun! They were easy for the kids to control! There were many giggles when the little heads popped out!
