Not Saddle Soap at all
This does not lather whatsoever. Saddle Soap (Step 1) work the saddle soap into a lather using warm water and a brush. This Shoe Gear Saddle Soap does not work into a lather at all. 2) remove excess saddle soap from the shoe. Are you kidding, you would have to use a drill with a 60 grit sandpaper disc to remove any of the material. It is a white sticky thick horrible material. This material (whatever it is) does not clean, does not condition and does not soften. I have no idea if it preserves. It might provide some waterproofing primarily because the material you apply cannot be removed. Avoid this saddle soap.

Does not behave like saddle soap...
It is marketed as a saddle soap, but does not behave like it. I thought at first it was not lathering by poor technique, and even after trying both warm and room temperature water. But, I realized that this stuff was not doing anything whatsoever… After trying a different product, learned that it was not me improperly trying to apply saddle soap, rather the product not doing what it was intended to do before application. NOT APPLY PRODUCT THIS ON ANYTHING!

It did not lather and just left a white cast on my black leather. Its also taking multiple cleanings of other soaps to remove the residue. Not worth the convenience.

Do not buy. It isnt saddle soap.
I’m not sure what this stuff is, but it isn’t saddle soap. It didn’t lather at all. When I was was finally able to scrape a bit of it onto a brush when I applied it to my shoe it left a waxy film that’s proving difficult to remove
