Why so little protein?

I used to buy the unsweetened soy milk because it was easy on my stomach and very high in protein. Like 18 grams per cup. Now it’s only 8! I’m starting to think it’s now mostly water and fillers and less soy beans.
1 reply from Julian at Silk team - 2 months ago
Hi there! This one has always had 10 grams of protein. You may be thinking of our Silk ULTRA which had a much higher protein content, and that's no longer being made unfortunately. I can definitely share your feedback with our team! :)

Really like the lactose free creamer, but I have to use pliers or my teeth to get the lid off. And I'm not a small guy. Other similar products, no problem. Why these?

Just found out this has the additive tricalcium phosphate . I recently bought a store brand organic soy milk because they were out of Silk. Now I think I’m going to be switching back. Please take this potentially harmful additive out of your milk.

We loved Silk spy milk but something is not the same. I can no longer use it in my coffee. My kids won't drink it when I send it to school. Our cartons are swelling up in the fridge and I'm afraid to drink them. I'm tired of wasting money on this milk :(

Difficult to open screw cap

I recently bought SILK unsweetened soy and noticed it was so difficult to open the screw cap! my husband had to use a tool (the nut cracker on the kitchen scissors) to help unscrew and open it. i compared with a new box of almond milk dark chocolate and it looks like the size is now smaller. very frustrating to open. I've given 3 star rating due to the new packaging.

Sweet and tastes like vanilla?

I purchased this (my store was out of NextMilk) thinking it would be a nice neutral tasting milk for both sweet and savory use. Unfortunately it isn't. It has a sweet and noticeable vanilla flavor, which doesn't make sense since this is the original--not the vanilla. I wouldn't buy again.

What changed?

My family have been avid Silk Soy Milk users for years. Recently, the packaging has changed to a red bottle. However, the taste has drastically changed that my family no longer wants to purchase soy milk. What has happened? What did you change? It takes really burnt, an overabundance of a burnt nut flavor, so far off from the original. What was changed from the original process and why? In addition, the price increased!

Sweet Surprise! (Carton doesnt mention it is sweetened)

My only issue is with the current packaging! The only way to know if this milk is sweet is to see it sitting next to an unsweetened variety, or to read the ingredients list. Clearer packaging please! This was the only Silk soy milk on the shelf, so I grabbed it thinking “original” meant unsweetened. The milk was fine, I just had to find a different unsweetened milk on the fly while cooking.

I normally use 3 containers per week, I noticed the package change with my current purchase. I have a very sensitive stomach and the reason why I have used it for years and why I loved this product. I was not ready for the change in taste too and the upset stomach. I retrieved the old container to compare ingredients and percentages. I also noticed what was added and taken away. My stomach is not tolerating this product with the current change in ingredients and I will have to make a change. Sorry.

As a fellow lactose intolerant person, I find that I enjoy soy milk the most out of all the milk alternatives. Silk soy milk goes really great with my morning bowl of cereal! Really happy that there are so much more alternatives now for people who don't use regular milk.

I’ve bought the refrigerated red soy milk for the last few years. Yesterday I noticed the package has changed. This morning my kids went to use this in cereal, they said it smells like rotten eggs. It does and it’s gross. We buy 8 gallons a month. I’ll never buy this again until you go back to the old formula.
