Awful new recipe
I've been buying the vanilla soy milk for over a decade and have loved it. I used to buy the very vanilla cartons until they were discontinued and had to switch over to the regular vanilla. The new recipe in the red carton is awful. When I first opened it, I thought it had gone bad. It's very watery and has a very pungent smell. It has less flavor than the original soy milk. Will no longer be buying this product

Silk Organic Soymilk unsweetened
Silk Organic Soy Milk - unsweetened - I’m glad my Target has brought this back. A healthy “milk”, good on cereal and dunking a cookie. It works well in cooking too. As a vegetarian who cooks most all meals the Silk Organic Soy Milk unsweetened is the best.

Stay far away
What a colossal failure. An excellent product has been completely ruined and not as healthy. Now, let's brake it down: More fat, equals slower digestion. More phosphate, check with your DR if you have kidney issues and enjoy the chalky taste. Potassium iodine added, check with your DR if you take medication for thyroid issues. Please, stay far away from this cheaper, generic garbage. I have been a big fan of Silk products, but they have crossed the line into selling a sub standard product.

SiLK posting Fake positive reviews
The new vanilla product is inferior and worse for you… however it’s not bad. Also NOTICE THE ONLY POSITIVE reviews in past 6 months have been weirdly sourced from “influencer.com”. …….. NONE of the negative reviews have came from there. SILK is PADDING their stats on the ratings!!! BUSTED!

Not My Soy Milk Anymore
I’ve been drinking Silk Vanilla Soy Milk for years and I don’t what or why you guys changed the recipe but you need to FIX IT. NOW! I haven’t bought any other milk because i was happy with this one but now I will definitely be looking. No one wants a drink that taste like saliva.

Poor nutritional profile with new formulation
Formulation has changed, 20% more calories and 43% more fat. Absolutely no reason for this. Shame on Silk! Absolutely no excuse for this.

Ruined in the name of "health"...
I signed up specifically to voice my disapproval of this sudden change; As someone with ARFID, it's very difficult to find and enjoy products in regards to taste & texture, and rare to consider it a 'safe' food--For many years, this WAS one of them. Now it isn't. Please revert this '8g of protein' recipe & red carton--People mistake this one for the regular "Original" far too often now; the blue strip on the front that claims "Vanilla" isn't enough change to discern them for some folks. PLEASE go back to the prior sweet vanilla flavor and creamy texture of the previous 6g blue carton. It was always easy to find before, and it was the only acceptable substitute I'd drink after the Very Vanilla purple cartons were discontinued in my state. I don't like these various other nut milks--They aren't good nor appropriate replacements. I'm begrudgingly still investing in the red cartons of Vanilla because I havent found a suitable replacement (yet), but when I do I'm probably done being loyal to Silk. Such a huge disappointment to have changed a product that was nigh perfect. I hope it gets reverted. And I hope this review is actually seriously considered by whoever is in charge of these decisions.

like many others, I too, am disappointed in the new version. For all of you concerned about the chalky taste, it is because Silk dramatically increased the amount of phosphate. Silk, please go back to the original formula!

a soymilk that identifies as vanilla
can't believe that after 15 or so years, I will no longer be buying anything from the Silk brand and will tell everybody to avoid it like the plague

Please return to the old formula
I've been drinking Silk's vanilla soymilk for years, because I wasn't partial to the taste of regular soymilk, but I couldn't have cows milk due to my digestive disease, so I've used this ever since. Now after years of drinking this, I'll have to find something else since the formula changed. It's not sweet or vanilla anymore, and it's very chalky looking and has a watery consistency. It tasted awful, so I ended up pouring the rest down the drain. Please listen to your customers and return to the old formula, otherwise I definitely won't buy it anymore.

New taste is awful!
I have used Silk vanilla soymilk since it came out and I loved it, but now it tastes dramatically different. It has an awful bitter aftertaste and hardly any vanilla. I'm trying not to panic, but I definitely have to find a different brand.

What did you change in the recipe?
What did you change? The vanilla soy milk doesn't taste like vanilla at all and has a really bad aftertaste now. I used to buy 4 cartons at a time and the change is so drastic that I will not buy another. I've already replaced it with an alternative with a different company. At this point I'm just curious what you changed and whether it was profit-driven or health-driven. I see at least three changes with the new red carton formula: the water is no longer filtered, vitamin E Acetate was added, and Potassium Iodide was added. Obviously there can be other changes not listed, especially with the "natural flavors" ingredient being so vague that the FDA allows that to cover so many additives including synthetic solvents, preservatives, emulsifiers, etc. Who knows what is in this new recipe... I have a feeling you're going to lose a lot of business but then again, if this is profit-related then maybe the money saved will make up for it. All I know is that I won't be spending my money on your products any longer.

So Sad
After many years of enjoying the best Vanilla soymilk on the market, a great product was ruined and no longer on my list. I can't tell you how disappointed I am, and I hope enough people send a message that Silk should not have tinkered with what was once perfection.

New Vanilla Soy milk is inferior to the old
I have been drinking Silk for years. Unfortunately, I agree with all the other reviews concerning the vanilla soy milk. I can tolerate the new formula, but I am looking for an alternative to Silk. I'm not certain what you did chemically, but the new Vanilla Soy in the red carton is decidedly an inferior product. I don't like saying this, but it is how I feel.
