Singer S0100 Serger

The SINGER® S0100 Serger makes it easy to see why a serger can be such a game changer for garment sewing, stretchy fabrics, and clean project finishing. Easy to set up and works perfectly for my needs. I'd just make the presser foot lifting lever was on my right as i can'tget used to the one on my left, but this is personal preference. Everything else is good.

I am new to the world of serging, but I have found the whole experience fascinating. Threading the machine is one of the most challenging parts of using the machine. Once you have overcome this hurdle, the rest is easy-peasy.

I got the machine about two years ago. It was the best thing that I did. I love my machine, and would totally get another one if this one does not work. I use it all the time. The only thing that I don't have on my machine is a thread cutter which would be handy. I got my machine from a different store, but it is exactly the same.

I just received my S0100 server sooo disappointing... Did not come pre threaded did not come with thread....but the most disappointing was that THE thread holder was not attached to machine...now I have to figure out how to fix this huge problem...Will singer compensate me and make it right?

This machine was supposed to come pre-threaded, the whole reason why I purchased the serger. I have never used one before and absolutely know nothing about threading it. Disappointed I had to pay someone to thread it when the website says otherwise.......

I got this yesterday and the accessories aren't there (yes i checked the storage)

It is verry difficult to thread however, once threaded and the tension adjusted for your fabric, it does a very good job. As long as the tension is adjusted for any new fabric the end result can be verry professional. Be patient.

I bought this machine approximately a month ago and love it. I do a fair bit of charity sewing for our local hospital and it makes the projects much quicker to get through. I had no problems threading it, although I made sure I paid very close attention to the instructions.

I recently purchased a Singer S0100 sewing machine from a store in the RL area, and it does not work at all, has missing pieces as well. Went back to return it at the store and the lady was rude and said they don't take returns and told us that it's not there problem and to call Singer. I called Singer hoping that since it is there brand that they will help me out, but unfortunately I was told that they basically can't do nothing about it so to take it somewhere to just get fixed and hung up on me. So basically I have to keep wasting more money because they don't want to take there machine back and send me a new one. I have other sewing machines from Singer and have NEVER EVER had a problem before but now i am super disappointed that I will never buy from them ever again, if there not willing to correctly help people out.

Got my first serger in Jan ‘23. After rearranging my sewing room, I set up my serger. Got it threaded. Powered it up, and motor whines. Absolutely no needle movements. Very disappointed so far.

I am brand new to "serging" so really need some time to watch some YouTube instructional videos. what I have done was a bit loose on some threads! However, project turned out really well!

I bought this model a couple of weeks ago. I am not happy with it. I downloaded manual and in many places there is a setting “N” which I cannot find anywhere on the machine! Not on the tension wheels, not on differential setting and also no “N” on the stitch length! How am I supposed to know where this “N” is when it’s nowhere on the machine? This is ridiculous.

This is my first serger, so I don't have anything to compare it too, but this machine meets my needs! I usually don't buy the cheapest models of devices/equipment, but in this case I wanted something basic and I'm glad I chose the S0100. It's easy to thread (clear diagrams on the machine + light to help see what you're doing), produces balanced stitches on the default tension setting, it's fast, stable (doesn't shake) and so far very reliable. I prefer the digital manual because I can always access the up-to-date version and keep it on my tablet for reference if needed. Things I wish it had, but it doesn't: a thread cutter (the manual incorrectly refers to a cutter, which is actually not included on this model), spare cutter blades, a seam allowance guide, and a trim bin (a plastic tray would be cheap to produce, yet make serging a less messy process). It is loud, but I imagine most sergers are. Overall, I'm happy with the product.

Came in record time. Never thought I would use it for so many projects. Glad I bought.

So far so good. Powerful and easy to change threads. Leaves a nice edge. Will update if things change.
