Singer SE9180 Sewing and 5x7 Wi-Fi Embroidery Machine

Quite honestly so disappointed. I read the reviews prior to buying, but I thought the negative reviews were a result of not learning the machine. Upon purchase, I bought a course to teach me this machine, and I can say confidently this machine is not good! There are numerous tension issues- within the first embroidery try, I had to take apart my machine and adjust the tension of the bobbin case.

I bought mine last September and I went on our planned vacation. I really wanted to take it with me and learn but we went to the USA and I didn’t want to be questioned about it etc. I absolutely love it and need more time on it. My Mom would flip! She was a devoted Singer fan and she taught me how to sew beginning when I was seven. When people ask how long I’ve been sewing I smile and say well I started when I was seven and now I’m seventy five this year! I could go on and on but I had better stop now! Thank you for creating another “gem”!

I bought this machine about a year ago, haven't used it much until recently. Please, for the love of God, save your money, or find a different machine. I have used several Singer Sewing machines in the past and have loved them. This one, straight trash. I have been trying to embroider some logos for my father's business onto jackets, I got through two jackets and they were absolutely perfect, had no issues. Onto the third jacket, I got the pleasure of ripping the embroidery out FOUR times, the machine for some reason has a mind of its own, it started stitching my satin stitch up-and-down (vertical) rather than side-to-side (horizontal) all of a sudden - the embroidery design has zero up-and-down stitches needed in the area that it decided it should start doing that. I changed the thread, cleaned the machine, turned it off for an hour, changed the needle, made sure my bobbin was okay, and after all of that, it still does not work properly. I had the logo done professionally and they created the file so I just put that into the machine which worked perfectly, I honestly do not know what else could have been done to fix this situation, but it is seeming like I should just throw this machine in the trash and start over with another brand. Please, do not get this, if I could return it, I would.

I bought this machine 12/11/24. It's a piece junk. Don't buy wireless connection issues, tension issues and embroidery issues. This machine has more issues then my family on Thanksgiving.

The Singer SE9180 is a good machine for someone just starting out in embroidery for a hobby. Be aware that the largest hoop size is only 100mm x 170mm therefore you are very limited as to the size of your designs/projects. There are no larger hoops compatible with this machine and Singer has no plans to make a larger hoop. I wish I would have gone to a store and talked to an experienced salesperson before my purchase. I am so disappointed that almost every design that I want to make, it is always just a bit larger than my largest hoop.

I purchased my Singer SE9180 back in May of 2024 and I am in love! I have been sewing and quilting for years. I bought this machine for the embroidery capabilities. I have really enjoyed learning to embroider. I have an older Singer that I planned to continue using for regular sewing projects but my SE9180 is so user friendly and modern, it's all I want to use!!!

This machine was rushed to the public. I'm in IT and the rule is WAIT, a year or so to have HQ get the bugs out. We I didn't and I should have. It stalls on minimal fabric, and tried embroidery function and the thread broke numerous times this isn't ready.

It’s a nice machine. It stitches very good. Easy to thread. Easy set up with the exception of Sewnet. I have tried multiple times to creat an account but just get error messages. I don’t like that it only has small hoops. The hoop is about 5x7. No additional hoops (larger) are available. I also don’t like that you can’t connect it to a computer. You can only use a USB drive or the included designs. I have so many designs on my computer that I will have to put on a usb drive to be able to use. It is just inconvenient. I do like that they have removed the anchor stitch. All in all I think it is going to be a good machine.

Let me just say the quality is not there like my Futura 550XL or My Quintet. This machine has a MUCH smaller foot print making it almost impossible to thread the needle manually. Among other things. And it weighs about half of what the previously mentioned machines do,due to all the plastic. Not happy at all. :-(

I absolutely love this machine. If I had a critique to make, it would be to have a larger hoop, otherwise it operates exactly as shown in the tutorial. Thank you and keep going...make the same machine, only bigger....

This machine is amazing for both sewing and embroidery projects. It has a large 7" touch screen that lets me easily select and adjust stitches, embroidery designs, and fonts. It also has mySewne connectivity, which allows me to access thousands of designs online and monitor my embroidery progress on my smartphone. The machine is very fast and smooth, and the automatic needle threader saves me a lot of time and hassle. The embroidery area is large enough for most of my projects, and the endless hoop functionality lets me create continuous designs. The machine also comes with a lot of accessories, such as different feet, bobbins, needles, and an extension table. The machine is very easy to use and the manual is very clear and helpful. I have made some beautiful and unique items with this machine, such as quilts, pillows, bags, and clothing. I get a lot of compliments on my work and I enjoy using this machine every day. I highly recommend the SINGER SE9180 Sewing and Embroidery Machine to anyone who loves sewing and embroidery. It is worth every penny and you will not regret it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this machine. It was a little difficult to set it up at first as there is no actual manual included in the box. I downloaded it and printed it. I had a little issue with the thread at first as I had it on backwards and the machine kept telling me to rethread. Once I turned the thread around, I had no issues. It is a very powerful machine with a lot of features. I have not had the chance to review them all, but it is promising. There is a little bit of a learning curve to know what needles and feet I need for what, but overall, it is good. The touchscreen is very responsive and so far I have not touched something that I didn't mean to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I and a novice sewer but the singer sewing machine is one that is food proof. I was about to not only sex but embroider different designs. it has pre=programed deigns and you can set up more thru wifi and a pc. it was so easy to use.

I wish it was a little smaller, but as long as you when the space, it gets the job done. There are so many projects you can undertake with this and I look forward to using it more!
