Unwearable After One Wash
Don't be fooled — not worth $50 by any stretch of the imagination. Washed it once I got home (on cold) and dried it on the delicate setting. When I took it out, the robe had shrunk significantly and was covered in loose and pulled threads. I'm 5'6" and the sleeves are now too short to wear comfortably. I do like that the robe is 100% cotton and feels like a big towel, but it's inexcusable for it to have shrunk so much after being washed even more gently than the tag calls for (tag suggests warm wash, tumble dry medium).

Expensive price for cheap quality
I read many reviews stating issues with quality and loose threads. I wasn’t sure if it was occurring more for a specific color, so I figured I’d find out for myself and order both colors. I had ordered a different terry bathrobe for myself though another retailer, which was great quality, but huge on me, so I had been excited to try a smaller size and was willing to pay the same price for a smaller fit, even if it meant a few loose threads. Well, after purchasing the robes, I took one look and decided to return them and stick with the better quality, huge robe from the other store. The amount of loose threads I encountered with the robes fresh from the store was surprising, given the price. I have had another terry robe for 20 years, nothing name brand, but great quality- only replacing because I mistakenly sprayed bleach while wearing it and stained the arms. After my experience with finding a suitable replacement- in both quality and size- for an affordable price, I’ve decided to keep my old, stained robe and use it alongside of the humungous, Hugh quality spa robe from the other retailer. Robes of this quality sold by Target shouldn’t cost more than $20, in my opinion… in reality, maybe even $15.

Stained upon opening
Despite the price, I excitedly purchased this 100% cotton robe in-store as a gift. The packaging appeared to be unopened; however, after gifting and the recipient unwrapping, we noticed stains not previously visible located on the inside and outside of the robe. It looks like rust or even burn marks in some places? If it were only on the inside we might look past it, but unfortunately it surrounds an entire sleeve on the exterior of the robe. My husband doesn’t mind, but for the price and hassle driving another 30 minutes back to Target, I’m definitely disappointed. The material also already had visible pulls. A definite return. Would’ve otherwise been an okay robe. The length hits my husband around his knees so it isn’t quite the same quality as a hotel robe, but close.

MUST HAVE bath robes
If you are looking for a luxurious bath robe, these are perfect. They are oversized (this one fit my 2X shirt size husband) still with plenty of room. The only complaint is that the arms are too short. I have not washed them yet but I’m sure they will keep the same softness even when washed. For the price point, I would highly recommend.

Feels more like a Towel than a Plush Robe
(Threshold Spa Plush Bath Robe) - The robe doesn’t match the “plush” description. It feels more like a thick, oversized hotel towel than a plush (or soft) robe. I washed & used fabric softener before wearing and it still feels like a hotel towel. I would recommend for post-shower because it’s thick & will keep you warm. But not so much for wanting a cozy feel to lounge in.

The best robe ever.
If you’re looking for a new robe, look no further. I asked for a white cotton robe for my birthday and my loving husband found this one. I’m obsessed with it, to the point that I just bought it for my best friend’s birthday. Now she’s in love with it. It makes you feel like you’re going to a spa. It’s just heavy enough that it feels good. Plus it’s cotton so it actually dries off droplets after your shower/bath. This is the robe that dreams are made of, in my opinion.
