It shows 500 micro farad in parallel to the 5V

It shows 500 uF in parallel to the 5V. Thus when connecting and capacitor is discharged it will give a voltage drop on USB. Some computers will reboot then. The allowed spec is less than 10 uF.

Basic but does the job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The four port hub is very basic, but it is inexpensive and it really does the job. It feels very lightweight and flimsy, but it's not. The USB connections click in to make a solid connection. I've been using it for two weeks now daily without any issues. You really can't beat it for the price.

Couldn't get it to charge my iPhone

I don't know if it's Apple technology, or just my iPhone 8+, or if I needed to use a different type of charging line, but this USB splitter wouldn't charge my phone with 3 different chargers I put in it. It charged all of my other USB port devices with no trouble. Needed to return.

USB Port Expander
