Turn one USB-C port into four USB-A 3.0 ports with the Targus USB-C to 4-Port USB-A Hub. Connect your USB-A peripherals – like mice, keyboards, flash drives and hard drives - by plugging in up to four devices in the USB-A ports and connecting the tethered USB cable into your computer's USB-C port. This hub provides transfer speeds up to 5Gbps. Compact and lightweight, it’s easy to take it along with you anywhere you go. *Max DC 5V 900mA per port (if only one port is connected). When two or more ports are connected at the same time, the max output depends on the host PC’s USB Type-C port.

Not working
I just bought this hub for use with a new Mac Book Pro. We plugged it in, and it does not work. The laptop does not recognize it. Now what?

Useful Device
Useful to connect older USB to new USB C standard. Simple to connect and use saving the replacement of older devices such as CD burner, etc. Great service received from Targus and simple online order process. Recommended.

Doesn't work for Audio/Midi applications
Terrible connectivity when plugging in headphones, midi controllers and other audio equipment. It can power a few devices but only works with certain ones. I now am shopping for a new USB Hub simply because this one completely stopped working for midi.

Power (out) available on the ACH226BT downstream USB STD-A ports is limited to no more than 900mA at 5VDC (4.5WDC) each and it is subject to what is made available from the USB-C host connection (power in). Many USB-C host ports do not have enough power to enable full power on each of the ACH226 downstream ports (roughly 4 x 4.5WDC plus 2 WDC for losses). If the devices plugged into these ports all require the maximum most likely the host port power into the ACH226 is inadequate. Also, if any one device requires more than the maximum, issues will arise. If either of these are the case in your application, please consider a powered docking station or hub like the Targus ACH119.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product is sleek and small and easy to carry for traveling etc, it has many ports for charging, but it is a USB C so make sure you have a wall adapter or computer adapter for that. Its surprisingly light and it looks very cool.

I knew I needed more USB connections for my laptop and PC but I didn't realize how much I really needed it until I received it. I can use this with my phone, my laptop, and PC! This has been the best item as I can use it with so many different devices and it makes working so much easier for me. I highly recommend this to others who have a limited number of USB ports. Overall, such a great product to have to help make work, working with files, and anything else you need to do easier!

Excellent USB Adapter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Targus USB adapter color almost perfectly matches my MacBook Pro in color which is a nice feature. The USB-C connection is very tight and secure which is a reassuring aspect, and makes me feel like it would be very hard for it to be accidentally unpluged. The connection is tight enough that I would recommend grabbing on the metal part right behind the USB-C connection to unplug it, instead of grabbing onto the cable. The speeds of transfer are as expected for a USB-A connection. I do like the form factor, and it is small enough that I throw it into my computer bag when I leave home so that I have USB-A connections. Overall I am very happy with this product and it has met my needs well.

I was able to plug dual monitors, keyboard, mouse, USB drives and phone charges without issues. Everything performed as needed when plugged in and power was never an issue. I would have preferred a longer cord, but I was able to work with it. It looks nice and is easy to transport. I would recommend this product!

Good Accessories to Have
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Targus USB-C to 4-Port USB-A Hub is a great accessories to have to accompany your laptop or chromebook for the on the go. With laptops getting slimmer and having less port, this is great for those needing USB-A slot or having more of them. USB-C now is standard but there are peripherals that still uses USB-A. Having this device will help connect via a USB-C port. It can hold 4 USB-A and is very lightweight yet portable.

Even with multiple items plug into it doesn't lag, it still keeps a steady power flow. It works great I like it a lot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Glad I opted for this device! Before I got this device I suffered from lack of usb ports. :) I try to avoid wired peripherals. Most of my gadgets/devices are wireless usb/bluetooth supported devices. Pros: Plugin and use. Portable. USB-C Cons: No on and off switch for each usb port but that's not a big deal The main point is that I don't have to remove and possibly lose my usb adapters. I know where they are at at all times. Very convenient.

It seems that it doesn’t work on half of the devices, even some common ones. I really wanted it to work out with this device as I could use it all the time if it worked with the devices I needed it to work for but it doesn’t. Sadly I do not recommend this product.

Handy to have
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with this little hub. First, it works great and easy to use. Plug it in and it’s ready. It’s nice to be able to charge my phone, plug in my mouse, and use my external disc drive all at the same time. The hub itself is small enough to easily travel with. Only con is if it would have been nice to come with a carrying case/bag to help keep ports clean when not in use (and stored in laptop bag), but certainly making no complaints. Would definitely recommend.

Great Design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to use, plug and play. All four ports seem to be working great. I do wish the main power cable that goes into the Laptop or computer was longer. I have a mouse and keyboard hooked up to my laptop, and both are working great. With having the two other USB ports it was no problem connecting a flash drive. I really like this 4-port unit and would recommend it to anyone needing more USB-ports.
