Sterilite does not manufacture extra lids or component parts for our products. Our products are manufactured and sold as a unit to retailers. I have two totes with no lids. Because your lids broke down and cannot be used. I don’t see why I should recycle two good totes and go buy two more with lids. Most of the time they don’t get recycled and wind up in landfill. I read another customer who had the same problem. Read your reply. As far as a business is since it makes sense to you do not sell replacement lids. But to your customers, we need replacement lids.

Many of our products last for a long time and the lids and colors change thus making it very difficult to maintain a stock that would fit all items for our Consumers. Retailers do not have space to sell and stock the lids separately either. One of my favorite storage bins. I have bought about 10 of them and they are a great product. It has been nine months so far, but the lids do not last very long. They started to crack and fall apart at six months. I have two of them that are no longer usable because the lids do not work on them anymore. Do you know where I can purchase a replacement lid for this product? I have looked and I cannot find a place to purchase them without buying the whole thing. Selling the replacement lids through a third party could be a good source of income for your company.

Hi StevenC! Thank you for your feedback on the 18 Gal. Storage Tote. Unfortunately, we do not offer replacement lids. Our products are manufactured and sold as a unit to retailers. Our product mix is very diverse to meet the many different storage needs of our Consumers. Many of our products last for a long time and the lids and colors change thus making it very difficult to maintain a stock that would fit all items for our Consumers. Retailers do not have space to sell and stock the lids separately either. We plan our production for items with the number of lids needed to fit the number of bottoms. Even if we were to pull a lid from production it is not designed to travel through the mail or UPS. Our products are nested and packaged to withstand the rigors of shipping as a full carton. I like the bins, nice color, I have similar bins that I bought over 15years ago , so I knew the quality and durability. But the bins come in bulk of 8 they came stacked one inside the other. the very last bin that all the other 7 were stacked into cracked, I'm assuming from the weight of other bins and movement of box (with no padding) onto & off delivery truck, when I called to have the bin replaced I was told I have to return all 8 then they will resend a new set of 8 , it's a big inconvience to return all 8 its a bulky box. Target sells single bins. Replacing 1 been should be a option

I am so excited that the holiday totes are color coordinated. I always tried to label totes but they tags would fall off and I’d be left guessing what was in each tote. The holiday colors make it so easy to find my holiday decor now!

These were the only totes I have ever purchased. They were the perfect size for me to get into the attic and to carry without tripping over myself. They have been "redesigned" and the lid broke the first time I put it on a tote that wasn't even full. I have never had an issue with these totes and that is why I always buy them. Disappointed that I spent my money on these.

I am very disappointed in the totes. The lids are very fragile while the base totes are pretty sturdy. We tried to duct tape the cracks but that didn't last that long. Not able to get replacment lids so the bases are now usable and worthless. Will not be buying this type of tote again.
