Nifty Little Box Initial Thoughts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had the BedBox Bundle for 2 weeks and have not had a chance to use it on a trip yet. Sadly it arrived just after a trip, but we are looking forward to using it over Labor Day and on a trip to Europe in a few months. With that mind, here are some initial thoughts on the item. First, my daughter had a lot of fun decorating the outside with stickers and making it her own. Not to mention the stickers and box itself are aesthetically pleasing and well-designed. The backpack is very high-quality with thoughtful features as well. This may have been my favorite part, as the size was just perfect. My little one enjoyed pulling the suitcase through our house and then having me pull her. Seems like a promising first step towards eventually pulling her through the airport! We have not packed the box yet but it does seem surprisingly roomy. Kid clothes are small, so I feel like this will definitely work for a few days. My only concern is trying to figure out where this suitcase fits in with our overall luggage collection and optimizing number of luggage items. Right now we have a 3.5 and 1 year-old, so we definitely need to travel with a stroller. I can see this being amazing in a year or two when it can essentially replace our stroller. Overall, excited to give this a try and optimistic that it will make things a bit easier. Especially looking forward to testing out the bed feature on an overnight flight! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this children's travel item.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to receive this travel bundle from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This travel bundle has made travel so much easier. As a family who does a lot of travel, this is a game changer. I appreciate how clean and modern the look and design of the suitcase is even though it is designed for children. It was also able to hold 3 days worth of clothing for my 4 year old. Taking this on our latest trip made us fall in love. Being able to navigate the airport with my daughter riding the suitcase allowed us to get to our gate much faster and easier than ever before. Upon boarding our plane, this suitcase fit easily under the seat in front of us. I absolutely can't recommend this enough for anyone who travels with kiddos.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would recommend the JetKids Stokke Bundle to anyone with a jet-setting little one! The backpack is the perfect size for snacks and little treasures your kiddo might want to keep on hand. Bonus, it can be attached to the suitcase or worn on their back! The suitcase is a decent size and was great for packing what we needed at our destination (a swimsuit, change of clothes, and the bed piece). It’s easy to open and it latches securely, so you don’t have to worry about things falling out. I love that it’s hard sided, everything inside stays protected and doesn’t get smashed. It also works as a ride-on, which is a lifesaver for helping little ones get through the airport! The cushion fits right into the plane seat and creates a comfortable spot for your kiddo. I wouldn’t call it a game-changing necessity, but it’s definitely nice to help define their space while flying. This is a great product if you’re traveling by plane and want to add a bit of extra comfort for your little one. It’s especially nice if your child is past the stroller stage but still wants to be carried or helped through the airport. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to test this product in exchange for my review!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After receiving the BedBox Bundle via the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was so impressed upon unboxing - the BedBox is smartly designed with several accessories inside, including the matching backpack, stickers for decoration and functional pieces. My kid was instantly smitten and couldn't wait to ride aboard! It wasn't immediately the most intuitive product to open and securely close, but with a bit of practice it became pretty foolproof. I do think the case is a bit narrow and might make packing some items challenging, but understanding the limitations ahead of time will be helpful. My kid is so excited to take her first flight with the bundle tomorrow and put the footrest / bed technology to the test. In the meantime, I expect getting around the airport will already be a million times easier and more fun than usual - she's already asked to take it for a spin around our neighborhood. The only feature I wish was included is a collapsible handle for toddlers to hold on to securely while being pulled on the suitcase. Otherwise, it handles smoothly and the thoughtful, clever little features are wonderful touches. Recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My children were so excited to get this in the mail! Upon returning home and opening the package, the first thing they wanted to do was decorate it. It comes with a couple packs of stickers, one with letters and another with pictures and quotes. After decorating, they spent over an hour riding on it and pushing the other around before I decided to put it up. We had just left for our trip the day it came in the mail and we don’t have another one planned until the end of July (this month). I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, so I was trying to wait to write the review until we were able to use the bed part on the next plane ride. However, I know that even if the bed part doesn’t get used, this is a great product even without that feature, so it is just extra. It is cute, small enough to be used as a carry on but large enough to fit at least a weeks worth of clothes for my 3 year old, and he already uses the backpack to tote around his favorite toys. Also, it helps to make airport check-ins fun with the ride on feature. I ordered another for my 5 year old for our next trip, as I am sure they would be fighting over who gets to use it if we were to only have one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this children's travel item. The travel bundle was a simple design, neutral colors, and compact luggage piece. The little kid backpack that matches the color combo of the rolling luggage piece is very cute and my little loves wearing it around and having her own bag to pack. Easy to use and to pack, it was nice to have the option for her to sit on the rolling suitcase instead of having to carry her. Plus it made it easy to know where she was located since she like riding along. I do wish the strap to pull the luggage was a little sturdier though. Otherwise nice bundle with a little pad inside to allow for my little to be a little more comfortable in our travels.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this from the Stellar Panel in exchange for a review, and it really came in handy traveling with our little one. She's too old for a stroller and as the trip involved both plane and train travel, having an easy spot for our little one to sit and rest when her legs were too tired to walk made the long days much more comfortable for everyone. Setting up the bedbox on the plane was easy and she managed to sleep without making the rest of the family into her bed! The backpack is really cute and she looked adorable with her matching luggage set. She likes to have her own snacks/water bottle in her bag, and felt very grown up. She also offered to keep all the passports safe and handy, but we decided we better keep those for now. I love the style and appreciate that it lets her sleep comfortably on the plane.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Stokke Kids BedBox bundle as part of the Stellar Product testing panel. We absolutely loved the Stokke JetKids BedBox Bundle for our recent trip. The design is sleek, modern, and kid-approved. My toddler loved riding it through the terminal, and we got tons of compliments and questions from fellow travelers. Assembly and disassembly were very intuitive. Converting the suitcase into the in-flight bed setup was quick and didn’t require any tools or frustration, which is exactly what you need when juggling a kid and carry-ons. My little 3yo stayed entertained rolling through the airport, and the BedBox feature made it so much easier for him to relax (and even nap!) once we were in the air. My favorite feature was the ride-on capability as it gave us one less thing to carry and kept my toddler happily occupied during long walks between gates. I would absolutely recommend this to any parent traveling with young kids. It’s a game-changer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had nothing but a great experience with the JetKids BedBox Bundle. I really enjoy the sleek look and smart design. It's very durable and high quality. Putting it together was very easy. I honestly didn't even need the instructions, although the written instructions are very simple and clear to read. It makes getting through the airport so much easier and smoother with my little guy. He loved riding on it, which makes travel more fun for him and WAY easier for me. Win win situation! He also got a kick out of having his own little backpack to carry - which made him feel like a big boy! I was really surprised at how much stuff fits into the box. But at the same time, it's not overly bulky or a pain to carry around. This is overall a great product that I would definitely recommend to a friend. Thank you to the Stellar Testing Panel for allowing me to test this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can’t believe how cute this package is! The backpack is beyond adorable for tiny travelers. It has cute pilot stripes on the straps and a plane-seatbelt buckle. The color is very nice and neutral. I’ve seen these at airports and wondered about how the steering feels. It was actually very easy to navigate. It was easy to pull either my 5 or 8 year old. They also loved scooting around on their own. I was easily able to figure out how to set it up as a bed, and everything feels very high end. Opening the container section in the top though is finicky for me. Both of my kids tried it at home and I think it would work for them as a bed or at least a nice foot rest. Ultimately though, we did not choose to take it on our most recent trip. We pack with carry-ons only currently, and with the pad packed inside, there was not enough space to pack it as full as a regular suitcase (one photo included shows the pad and a toiletry bag and electronic case). I think if we ever checked bags or had enough carry ons allowances to bring this, I would leave the pad at home and pack it full. I’d use it to let the kids play around at the airport (and I think this is worth its weight in gold for that!). I would also use this (if not needing a full suitcase) on a solo trip, because it’s quite comfortable as a seat on its own as well! All in all it’s a really nice ride-on suit case. I think it doesn’t have quite enough space for us to pack in with the padding in it as well. I still think it really has benefits, even without the padding, and it’s truly adorable. Thanks to Stellar Product Testing for allowing me to test this fantastic suitcase.
Overly Complicated and Not Very Functional

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This travel system is overly complicated and not very functional. The inside space on the suitcase is too small to be practical. The “flip the lid to create a shelf” mechanic is not smooth or easy to do. It is too small to fill the foot space on an airplane and leaves gaps when used as a “bed” (though really it’s more of a footrest? It’s so small…). The cushion is thin and not comfortable. There is a storage space in the lid which so obviously should be where the cushion fits so you can use the rest of the container for carry-on storage but the lid compartment does not fit the cushion so you have to use precious container space for it. My kids liked the small backpack but the clasp was not kid-friendly so again not a useful item. I give it a 2 for durability - my 5 and 4 year old boys roughly played with it for days, including riding on it, and no parts broke. Overall I would not purchase or recommend this item, there are many other alternatives that are more functional, more practical, and cheaper. I received this item in exchange for my honest review via Stellar Product Testing Panel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been using the Stokke JetKids BedBox Bundle on our cross country drive over the last few weeks, and it’s been such a great addition to our travel gear. It’s really cute and has a sleek, modern look. My daughter was obsessed with it from the start—especially the ride-on feature. Rolling through hotel lobbies has never been more fun (or more efficient)! It was super easy to set up and use. Opening and closing the suitcase, converting the bed feature, and packing it all up again was really straightforward. I also love how lightweight it is—even packed full, I could carry it easily when needed. While we haven’t flown with it yet, it’s already made hotel check-ins and walk-throughs so much smoother. Instead of asking to be carried or dragging her feet, my daughter wants to ride or pull it herself. That alone is worth it! My favorite part is how multifunctional it is—suitcase, ride-on, and a little rest spot all in one. Total win. The only thing I didn’t totally love was the backpack. It’s adorable and matches perfectly, but the front buckle feels a bit cheap and is hard to open, especially for little hands. Overall though, I’d absolutely recommend this bundle, especially the bed box, to any parent. It’s fun for kids, practical for grownups, and just makes traveling with little ones a whole lot easier. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for the opportunity to receive and test out this product in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon receiving the JetKids BedBox Bundle, we couldn't wait to open it and test it out! It's a beautiful mint green color that all my kids enjoyed. The included stickers earned major bonus points with the kiddos! Although we have not traveled with it yet, we have definitely been testing it out thoughout the house! It's a little tall for my 2 year old but my 3 and 5 year old love zipping around the house on it. It's a smooth ride. We've tested out the bed part as best we could without being on a plane yet and it is so soft and comfortable that I can imagine being perfect for a long haul flight! I couldn't believe how easy it was to set up. There's a generous amount of space inside to box to store a few items as well as the bed/padding. I also appreciate the backpack that is included in the bundle for packing a few extra items for entertainment! Overall, we're very impressed by the quality and durability of this product as well as the ease for both us parents and children to use. It's large enough without being overly cumbersome for children to maneuver. Stokke definitely hit all the marks with this amazing product! Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this wonderful children's travel item. We can't wait to take it on our next adventure very soon!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently used this luggage with my 2 year old on a flight for a week-long trip. My overall impression is that it is fun and useful travel item that I wouldn’t have thought it but for myself, but was glad to have on the trip. The design was sleek and beautiful and I loved the light green color. We received many compliments on our trip and questions about where it was from. I thought the instructions could have been more clear. Especially the sliding feature of the underside drawer; that was hard to figure out. I also wish there was a way to prop up the strap when not in use. It just hangs on the ground, and in a busy airport it kept getting dirty and getting pulled under the wheels. We used this travel set on a short flight and it was nice for my daughter to have her feet propped up. It did not help her sleep, and I actually left the mattress at home because I wanted all the storage space of the luggage for her things. It did fit all the clothing for a 2 year old for a week-long trip. My child loved using it in the airport and I think it made her feel grown up. Then when she was tired we would pull her and that was also much more fun for her than the stroller. Overall, I would recommend this to people with kids traveling. It’s an attractive design and fun to use. Things I would change would be a hanger for the strap and slightly more storage space inside. Please note I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this children's travel item to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. When I opened the box I had immediate impressions. First, sleek, sturdy, and simple, the Stokke JetKids BedBox Bundle is an incredibly attractive piece of luggage. Next, I thought, “My kids are going to LOVE riding this!” Finally, it’s the perfect carry on for what kids bring on a plane: toys, a water bottle, diaper essentials, and a change of clothes. I was actually a little concerned when I first opened it that it wouldn’t hold very much. This is not the case. It held everything we needed and more. My wife and I stashed our water bottles in it for our return flight. This carry-on was the perfect fit for our trip. It arrived just before we were about to leave and came ready to roll. Our kids instantly took to it, filling it with their toys. At the airport, both of our kids wanted to ride. However, our youngest got a little intimidated when it got rolling. But our 5 year old was all over it! He rode throughout the terminal, down the ramp and to the door of the plane. The motion was so smooth. It never tipped over or altered our walking path. Once on board, it fit comfortably in the overhead. Neither of our kids wanted to sleep on the plane, so we didn’t use it he bed feature. We love our Stokke JetKids BedBox Bundle. It’s versatile luggage that can work for any trip. And it’s fun for the kids, and can be a source of fun at the airport.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Travelling with kids? SO hard. This? Made things FUN for our toddler and I so look forward to the next trip! It looks beautiful, glides super smoothly along the floor, and feels sturdy. The only bummer is that it doesn’t have as much storage as a typical carry-on would but it will hold all the snacks and travel day essentials for your tot. Best part? Your kiddo will be all smiles as you pull them around the airport and the thrill of it makes it all the worth! The first time putting it together was tricky, but with anything a bit of practice makes perfect and we got the hang of it quickly. I feel like it made my tot WANT to sit still on the plane since she then had her own big space to be and use as we flew for three hours. I can see this being a big hit for those overnight flights in the future, giving her a whole flat sleep space. We received this as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, however I would personally buy this over again for our up and coming little one too when they get older!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this children's travel item to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Unfortunately, we were unable to use this on our recent trip because we were on a compact plane and our airline wouldn’t allow this to be used. A few things I loved about this: - fun, creative design - additional comfort for kids - the matching backpack is super cute and a great size for toddlers! We will use this for carrying things around outside of travel. Reasons why I would not purchase: - small capacity, you couldn’t fit much inside the box with the padding for the seat/legs included - some airlines might not allow this; we called ahead and were told it would not be able to be used on our flight since the footwells could not be blocked - cannot use with car seat (how we typically fly with our child) - not super secure for riding on - we did a test drive around our house and my almost 3 year old was falling off the side. I can’t imagine this in a busy airport, but maybe better for older kids? - overall clunky design for carrying around the airport (and again, for not much space. A duffle bag would be way easier with larger capacity) - the lid was a bit tricky to remove, it kept getting caught up on the pegs it fits onto Overall, I loved the idea of this and think it was a neat innovation, but it wasn’t worth the hassle of bringing on a trip since it takes up a lot of space and doesn’t offer much space for storage. Not to mention, we called to check and were told we wouldn’t be able to use it on our particular aircraft. I wouldn’t want to lug this through the airport only to have to store it and not get the #1 function of it being a leg rest.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the JetKids™ by Stokke® BedBox™ and Crew Backpack. We appreciate your detailed feedback and the time you took to provide it. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the fun, creative design and the additional comfort it offers for kids. It's also great to know that the matching backpack was a hit and useful outside of travel. We understand your concerns about the small capacity, the potential airline restrictions, and the challenges with using it alongside a car seat. Your feedback about the security for riding, the clunky design, and the tricky lid mechanism is valuable to us. We strive to create products that are both functional and convenient, and your insights will help us improve. We're sorry to hear that the JetKids™ by Stokke® BedBox™ was not allowed on your flight. Many airlines do not have a specific policy towards personal comforts devices like the JetKids™ by Stokke® BedBox™ but still allow its use. Therefore, we continuously aim to keep the list on our website up to date, based on user feedback, our knowledge, and our communication with the relevant airline. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this children's travel item. We’re preparing for an trip to Central Asia with our little ones, and the Stokke JetKids BedBox Bundle already looks like it will be a huge asset. My first impression of the product is very positive—the design is sleek, sturdy, and kid-friendly. The color and build give off a high-quality feel, and our child is already excited to roll it through the airport. Assembly and disassembly seem straightforward and intuitive. I’ve practiced setting up the in-flight bed feature, and it takes just a few steps to convert the suitcase into a comfortable leg rest or bed extension. I’m confident it will be easy to handle even in the tight space of an airplane cabin. While we haven’t used it in travel yet, I expect the ride-on feature will help us move quickly through large airports, especially during tight layovers. It will likely reduce stress for both parents and child, making transitions smoother. The feature I’m most excited about is the in-flight bed setup. Long-haul flights can be tough on little ones, and having a space where our child can stretch out or sleep should make a big difference. It looks well-padded and secure, and I’m optimistic it will help them get better rest in the air. Based on what I’ve seen so far, I would absolutely recommend this bundle to my friends planning travel with young kids. It combines multiple useful features into one compact, stylish product and looks like it will truly simplify our travel experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this children's travel item to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Upon opening I was very impressed with the presentation and heavy duty quality of the product. The suitcase was easy and intuitive to breakdown however the clips for the strap were stiff to clip on. My 5 year old was able to remove and reinstall the lid without parental help so that was a great bonus. I loved the detailing on the back pack with the captain stripes and name tag to match. We used this travel bundle on a road trip and the case made a great foot rest with toys and snacks. My 3 year old fit great riding on the case with great stability. I found the case maneuverability fantastic but wanting a handle with structure that could clip on where the strap goes. If we got moving too fast I had to make sure the case didn’t hit my heels or anything else when stopping. A structured handle that could collapse or retract and fit inside the case would have been a really nice addition and made this a 5 out of 5 for me.

Thank you for sharing your detailed review! It's great to hear that the presentation and quality of the product impressed you right from the start. The fact that your 5-year-old could easily manage the lid independently is definitely a plus. The thoughtful design elements like the captain stripes and name tag on the backpack sound adorable and practical. Your feedback about the stiff clips for the strap and the need for a more structured handle is very insightful. It's good to know that the case served multiple purposes during your road trip, from a footrest to a stable ride for your 3-year-old. Your suggestion for a collapsible or retractable handle that fits inside the case is valuable and could indeed enhance the product's usability. Overall, it sounds like the travel bundle was a hit with your family, and your constructive feedback will surely help in making it even better. Thanks again for your review!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Stokke JetKids BedBox Bundle was a hit straight out of the box. Our 3 year old was so excited to finally get her own luggage, and we both loved the ride-on feature. Not only did it make traversing the airport a little more fun, but our toddler also loved riding it around our Airbnb. The adjustable height for the leg rest platform was another well thought out feature. Unfortunately, the airline did not allow us to use the bed part, but we thought it was well constructed and easy to set up when we tested it out at home. Furthermore, even with the bed tucked into the case, there was plenty of room for all of our daughter's belongings on a short, 4 day trip. The included backpack is also quite possibly the cutest thing I've ever seen, and the design is so detailed! I love the little crew patches and shoulder strap cushions that resemble part of a pilot's uniform. Additionally, the ability to expand the backpack to increase capacity is going to be so helpful for longer trips and allow the backpack to grow with our daughter. The suitcase is very lightweight, which is great for our daughter to pull along herself, but I do wonder how long it will be able to hold her weight. Overall, I would definitely recommend the suitcase to others, as it provides creative solutions to some common challenges of traveling with young kids, all while looking stylish. Thanks Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing this travel bundle for us to test!
