Fun Sunmer Read
A few things I can always count on with Jenn’s writing are the charming characters, intriguing storyline, and a full gamut of emotion. This book had me smiling ear to ear, tearing up, swooning, and laughing out loud. I could have easily finished it in one sitting, but chose to savor it and will definitely be rereading it soon! Sam and Ben are so likeable and they had great chemistry from the first time they met. Even though their meet-cute was less than ideal (IYKYK 😅), they fell into an easy friendship and their relationship flourished quickly and seamlessly. Summer Reading is more than your typical “boy meets girl and falls in love” romance. I mean, we do get the happily ever after eventually, but the journey along the way is so much more. While finding love with what was supposed to be a summer fling, Sam reconnects with an old friend at the perfect time, establishes a sibling bond with her half brother, and works on her own personal growth. This book is an amazing mix of sweet, funny, sorrowful, amusing, sexy, heartwarming moments and it was a blast to read! Oh, and it includes mouthwatering recipes that I can’t wait to try. 🤤 •Summer Romance •Friends to Lovers •Neurodivergent/Dyslexic MC •Portuguese Chef •Hot Librarian •Family and Food •Delicious Recipes

Cute story
I don't read romance so this was a first for me, but I like the author's mystery series. All in all it was pretty good. There's interesting characters. I got invested in Sam and Tyler building a relationship. There's a lot of humor and even a bit of a mystery. I did think that while Sam felt shamed because of her dyslexia, she was also a little too quick to judge others and jump to conclusions. I also wouldn't have minded more explanation for Ben's actions at the end. Since there will be a sequel, will it mention where he went and what he was thinking? And I'm curious to see how Em's life will progress. It's a sweet story and I applaud the focus that went into highlighting dyslexia, promoting a friendly font, etc. Clearly well thought out. There's even recipes at the end to try out. If even I liked it, a true romance fan will really enjoy it.
